No he's actually sick today. I made soup! Can you believe it? It smells good. It's really cold here, probably in Boston too. And two days ago it was like spring. Crazy.

Take a look at that picture of the hydrogen bomb, from the "today in history" link on the front page.

That will tell you everything you ever needed to know about bombs and war.

It's very reminiscent of the military air show I attended at Jones Beach a couple of years ago. I was protesting it of course. And when the bombers began to come over the horizon, I swear it darkened, until one was right above us, and the announcer informed us that it was called "the bone" and "that's the sound of freedom my friends."

And I thought, why didn't they just call it what they wanted to? The Boner.

even an old fission bomb can do a lot of damage - note; hiroshima and nagasaki

the ability to deliver a bomb (fission or fusion) goes hand in hand with having those bombs and threatening people/nations

remember MAD (mutual assured destruction) from the cold war

so far we do not have to worry about india, iran or pakistan nuclear weapons...but europe does

we do need to worry about china, north korea and russia bombs as they have missiles capable of delivering bombs to the u s of a (n korea just to about our rocky mountains - hey, maybe that is one way to get rid of the 'left' coast)
