We have a really good understanding of the safety of drugs that have been out for 70 years and then used widely....I looked at the study at the link, I challenge anyone who feels up to it to read it and other evidence and then give their best argument for why Trump made a bad call. I am rather sure that no one will come up with a good argument, because yet again Trump was right.

Then there is this:

Actually, the medical professionals have done a very good job considering how over-worked and under-staffed they've become. The so-called "experts," not so much.
There are advancements made every day in the attempts to combat this China virus, I'm sure the president of the United States would be made aware of them, since he has the China virus.

I can groove with that some, but mostly because they found out that they had been lied to for a couple of decades on how diligent pandemic prep was being done (by the political people and the medical bureaucrats), were expected to work without proper PPE a lot of them, they have been given bad orders by the medical bureaucrats, and the people who are tasked to learn about this bug using systematic scientific studies have taken forever to figure out even the most basic information, because they suck.

I am hearing that we have the same problem with medical people as we have with cops, which is too many people getting to "Fuck this shit, I am going to go do something else".

Too many people feel betrayed.

He's got a young son. I don't want him to die. I want him to get severely ill with covid and recover. Why? Trump is a narcissist and a sociopath and thus, unable to empathize. Suffering from covid will provide trump some perspective on what Americans are actually going through. Then perhaps, during his lame duck period he'll act more like a decent human being.

Most never had pandemic prep in their minds. With all the pharma advancements, no one gave it much thought. Hell, they have a pill to make your dick hard!
No one had a grasp on how contagious this China virus was until it was already widespread.
Figure out the most basic information? It had to be identified. Then a test developed to detect it. Then those tests had to be produced.
And that's just identifying it, not even attempting to combat it. None of this shit can happen overnight.

As said, many are over-worked and stressed. I applaud their efforts.

We are dying more from the effects of Martial Law than we are of COVID.

The killing our cities and economy are going to be increasingly deadly going forwards, even as this bug continues to fade as it mutates into an less deadly form and as we learn how to deal with it....finally....because God knows our experts who are in charge of this pandemic sure do suck.

No, no kid in the medical field. But my GF works in a hospital, and I hear what goes on there. Most of the complaints are over-worked/under-staffed related because those exposed had to quarantine. Tests have become quicker and more accurate, so things have settled a bit, but the stress factor is still there.

I faced that at the Madigan Pharmacy the last time I had to get drugs, of 159 people only 43 were still available to schedule because of quarantine mostly ...I showed up at 645am and did not get my drugs till 1:15....it was a complete breakdown in service, which I took as evidence that the rules are fucked....getting back to my point.
