The reality is that it should be overturned because it was bad case law. There was never a right to privacy enshrined in the US Constitution. That being said, you are right, I don't see any Justices overturning it.

Let's not forget a leftist shot and killed a Trump supporter in Portland not long ago - for being a Trump supporter.

Conservatives don't want to to outlaw guns because they fear that criminals will obtain them illegally regardless, yet they wish to ban abortion and are too stupid to realize their own hypocrisy.

But abortion is a political issue. Government has to make laws regulating it or have no laws at all regarding abortion; either way, it is a political decision.

The Supreme Court sometimes rules something is a political issue and therefore not a legal one decided by the courts.

Traveling is not a violation of the 14th. The 14th was only used to make Roe applicable to the states. It was based on "other rights" in the 9th amendment (privacy) and used the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th to support the right to privacy.

Justices are always very reluctant to go against long established precedent. Since Roe was based on viability and medical science has made advancements in that area, the trimester guidelines might be changed.

Yes, it should be an issue left to the states. I favor my state allowing abortion but Roe v. Wade was such a convoluted opinion just to reach a conclusion. I did find myself more supportive of the reasoning in Griswold v. Connecticut which was the original case finding the right to privacy in the 9th Amendment.

You are well versed on it Flash. Much more than I. I look at it like it is a womans choice, a hard enough decision to make to begin with and politics just makes it worse. When anything gets to the federal level it just becomes a cluster fuck politically.

Technically, it is not an issue decided by the federal government but what the Constitution allows. Of course, the Constitution was interpreted by a branch of the federal government. If decided by the states it is still very much a political issue.

RGB The decision whether or not to bear children birth is central to a woman life., to her well being and dignity. It is a decision she should make herself. When government controls that decision for her,she is being treated as less than a fully adult human being responsible for her own decisions.
Women resent male dominated institutions determining their own life decisions. A kid impacts their lives in education, work and life possibilities. It is none of your business.
What actually cuts back abortions is sex education is schools and easily available contraception. Rightys are against that too.
