I'm not disagreeing with anything you've said according to the previously accepted narrative that the Holocaust can be described by the murder of six million Jews - along with some other minority groups. However, research shows that Jews comprised about one-third of the victims and so that aspect of the narrative must be adjusted. The Holocaust killed 16-20 million people including 6 million Jews. That's how the narrative should read if you want to emphasize the Jewish victims. Placing Jews centrally in the statistics of the narrative is incorrect- although I fully understand how some folk would want to place Jews front and center emotionally. However, it is incorrect for you to state that ' The primary victims of the death camps were Jews '. To the Nazis, gypsies were considered equally dangerous to the Reich. As I said- gypsies were forced into the Warsaw Ghetto with Jews.

It's interesting that the 15 to 20 million figure was published by researchers at the U.S. Holocaust memorial, which throws a damp towell on any who claim that Jews are trying to hog all the empathy for WW2 war crimes.

I have routinely posted on this board about the Nazi war crimes committed on Slavic peoples. The Romani might deserve their own memorial, if one does not exist.

That report supports what I said: the Death Camps at Auschwitz, Treblinka, et al were primarily constructed and intended to exterminate Europe's jews.

Millions of other people in Europe died outside the death camps due to Nazi persecution and aggression. There is a memorial in my papa's home village with about a hundred names on it. That was close to half the entire population of the village prior to the Nazi invasion.

I have seen memorials to Nazi victims in Russia. I am sure the Chinese have memorials to victims of Japanese aggeession. I have been to the U.S. Holocaust museum, and I am pretty sure it is acknowledged there that Romani and others were killed by the Nazis .


I personally am all for memorializing the victims of war crimes for posterity sake
