President-elect Barack Obama's nominee for attorney general has endorsed an extension of the law that allows federal agents to demand Americans' library and bookstore records as part of terrorism probes, dismaying a national group of independent booksellers.

Eric Holder said at his confirmation hearing Thursday before the Senate Judiciary Committee that he supports renewing a section of the USA Patriot Act that allows FBI agents investigating international terrorism or espionage to seek records from businesses, libraries and bookstores.

The MSM is silent on this issue now that Obama will soon be in charge.

Remember the outrage and threats of non-compliance from the nation’s librarians?....I suppose that now they’ll turn patriotic and help defend America.

No, I still don't care if the government looks at my library records I have nothing to hide. I just think its funny the liberal MSM gave him a pass.

Oh wait, speaking the truth about Obama is now called "bashing." If I speak truth about him it must be because I'm an Obama-basher. It could not possibly be because I'm consistent. I was against these intrusions into civil liberties with Bush and I'm against this bullshit coming from Obama.

Obama reveals the truth about the failure .. and cowardice of partisans. Republicans AND democrats.

It is also true that Obama is getting a awful lot of passes from MSM.
 
I wrote articles and told everyone about Holder when he was first announced for AG.

Not only does he support the Patriot Act, he want to make all marijuana sales, no matter how small, and all prostitusion cases a felony.
 
as much as i dislike the invasion of privacy, i can only hope that bho will not support holder continuing the policy

or maybe scotus will not uphold it

we have precious little freedom and privacy left now that hs can do as much as it can in the name of freedom
