RNC gives Trump a boost as Biden’s lead narrows, poll shows

The Republican National Convention gave President Trump a bump.

A new poll out Saturday found that Joe Biden’s lead over Trump narrowed by four points in the wake of the GOP’s four-day sales pitch that ended Thursday night.

That’s in contrast to the flat response found by the same survey on the day after the Democrats’ all-virtual convention the week before.

The Morning Consult poll of 4,035 likely voters, taken Friday, found the former vice president leading Trump 50-44 percent. The poll had a two-point margin of error.

But on Aug. 23, Biden’s lead was in the double digits: 52 percent to 42 percent for the incumbent.

Suburbanites accounted for the biggest shift. They sided with Biden by a 14-point margin in the same survey last week — before the Republicans hammered voters with a law-and-order message in recent days.

Post-convention, suburban support for Biden dropped by six points, the poll found.

But he’s coming out after Labor Day lol.

Or so he says. Like Chris Wallace said “It’s the damnedest thing I’ve ever seen”.

The million dollar question is whether Biden’s team has confidence in the approved polls or not. I’d say they don’t or they’d keep Biden squirreled away in the basement where he could field softball questions on Zoom.

Like I mentioned in another thread, Biden doesn’t do well in *actual campaigns* or the DNC wouldn’t have had to coerce a very mediocre field of Democrats [except for Gabbard] to drop out so Biden could be installed as the nominee.

It’s almost given that Biden will utter another ‘I’ll lockdown again if the scientists say to’ type of mistake again on the campaign trail. Actually, nobody knows what the hell he might say—that’s why he’s in the basement. Will he utter another of his infamous black-insulting remarks again? He has a long history of it. Good thing he’s a Democrat.

Don’t count your chickens yet.
