it's no secret that democrats are afraid of its progressive base. Look no further than the DNC convention where the moderates essentially locked the progressives out, including the new squad members. Conventions are usually opportunities to showcase fresh talent and new faces. Instead, moderates decided to showcase republicans rather than their own base. They only gave their biggest rising star, AOC, one minute, sixty seconds to speak to the party.

Now the African-American people are at war, led by trump and his racist horde of monsters. Is the Democratic Party just going to sit back and let it happen? At what point are they going to start screaming and do something about it? They control the House, I'm not hearing that there is nothing they can do, nor are many progressives and black voters. I'm not hearing that bullshit while we are being attacked, brutalized, and murdered at will.

Republicans don't give a rat's ass about rules, decorum, form, or tradition. They will break any rule, any law, that stands in their way of getting what they want. Moderate democrats think the fight is in the courtroom, but the fight is in the streets and if moderates just sit back and give limp speeches I predict they will lose this election again ... and if democrats can't beat a seriously weakened trump with a plethora of his own party standing against him., then what the fuck good are they? Obama can't save black people nor this nation with eloquent speeches. Centrists and moderates are weak and shit .. always have been. It's why I left the party in the first place. African-Americans are not going to vote for trump or republicans in substantial numbers, but they not for for weak and hapless democrats either at a time when what is needed in this election is an energized base.

I don't believe in the racism narrative, so I'm just going to skip over all that.

What I will say is that last time it was Progressives who cost Hillary the election because they refused to vote for the lesser evil. Yes, Trump had Russia and the Electoral College helping him, but Democrats have still been able to win when there is high turn out.
My prediction is that Progressives will throw another tantrum this time and refuse to vote for Biden.

Lesser evil is still evil and lets all get together and vote for the lessor evil is hardly a railing cry for an energized electorate. Nor is taking voters you count on for granted.

And really, every single election is choosing the lesser of two evils. The reason things get better is because a lesser evil usually leads to an even lesser evil.

My brother, evil prospers because good people do nothing.

People are being attacked, brutalized, and murdered almost daily. To answer your question, the current situation is untenable. Completely untenable. If democrats are too weak to fight it, or too consumed by their own issues, then we need to look further and much deeper for solutions.

There is homophobia in both America and Iran. However, it's not equal. One is ten times worse than the other. If you were gay and had to choose, you would choose to live in America.

Right now America has problems, no question. But if Trump wins, they're going to get infinitely worse. If Biden wins, the worst case scenario is things stay the same. And even that is unlikely because Bernie is going to be in his ear.

That video was bad on the surface but like all true demagogues you will use a particular incident and pretend that it's always the case. However never once have I ever seen you condemn the huge number of black on black killings. Only recently 18 died in one weekend in Chicago. Even more recently four black teens stripped a young white student, tortured and raped her before murdering her. Only last week another black brother shot and killed a 5 year old white boy in the face. Where's your confirmation of those, or indeed BLM speaking out against them.

Of course you'll never speak out against these black cops who shot a white man in the back in the Chicago subway! Why weren't there any riots and looting?

I can appreciate your perspective, but moderate/centrist democrats have learned noting from 2016. If they believe that lack of enthusiasm from the Left led to Clinton’s defeat, surely wisdom should have told them not to make the same mistake again .. don’t take progressives for granted Stand up and fight for what you claim to believe. That’s not happening.

The advantage trump has over democrats is that he will stand up for his base FAR stronger than democrats stand up for theirs.

These atrocities are not new, they didn’t come through the door with trump. They were already here when Obama was in office .. all 8 years of his term. But Obama is a moderate at best, and he did almost nothing to face these issues head on.

He laughed at progressives. He made fun of them.

How much longer do you think we should wait for justice? It’s been over 400 years.

The Democrats are not afraid of their Progressive base. They're afraid of the public who won't embrace even 1% of the crap they're selling if they're honest about it. They know Progressive ideas outside big cities on the two coasts are DOA with voters so they have to pretend to be moderates as much as possible.

Your boy Rep. Jim Clyburn was the one that gave the nod to Biden. So the choice is Biden or Trump. You would think that would be an easy choice.

Obama put in two Black Attorney Generals to oversee the Justice Department. THAT should be a requirement for Democrats to insure 'justice'.
