My view is not the officer's view. The video is not the officer's view. Jacob was reaching into the car after ignoring officer commands to stop. They had already drawn their weapons. Jacob did not need to get shot. He chose his path.

Anyone good training in firearms realizes the very real possibility that what Jacob was getting was a weapon, particularly after ignoring multiple commands to stop, and being involved in a domestic dispute (violence). Also anyone with good training in firearms against human targets does not shoot just one shot. You keep shooting. You don't take any chances. This isn't a hunting trip.

Quite right. Jacob had the choice to follow the commands of the officers. He knew the officers had their guns already drawn. They don't just brandish their weapons that carelessly. Again, any trained shooter does not brandish carelessly. Everyone knows what a gun can do. Everyone knows how easy an accident can happen.

These idiot Democrats and BLM sympathizers figure that any officer that happens to shoot a black man is in cold blood.

There is no such training to fire with a "possibility." Firing a firearm is a last resort. Period.

They shouldn't banish their weapons carelessly. In this case, one did, and discharged it 7 times in a man's back.

According to the criminal complaint, Blake and two women were at the Brass Monkey tavern, 1436 Junction Avenue, Saturday when Blake got into an argument with another patron and pulled a black handgun. Blake pointed the gun at the other man, and the magazine fell to the floor. The bartender told Blake to leave, and he did but then pointed the gun through the window at patrons inside the bar before walking south on Junction Avenue.

Police say they encountered a woman walking on Junction who was in the bar with Blake, but she said she didn’t know what happened and that her friends left without her in a silver SUV. A few moments later, officers were advised that a silver SUV was traveling north on Junction with a male subject driving who matched the description of Blake, and they initiated a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Racine Avenue.

Believing the driver was armed, police conducted a high risk traffic stop, the complaint reads, and ordered Blake to put his hands out the window of the vehicle. Instead, Blake exited the SUV and started walking toward officers and ignored commands to get down on the ground. Officers forced Blake to the ground and ordered him to put his hands behind his back. When Blake refused to comply, K9 Dozer was deployed to force the defendant into compliance.

Yet he was. He failed to follow officer's commands. He failed to recognize their authority. He was leaving the scene of violence. He reached into his car. The officer closest apparently determined that what Jacob was doing was dangerous to society or to the police. It doesn't matter of it was in the back or the front. It doesn't matter the number of shots. The police will keep firing. It's part of their training. It's part of training for anyone that might have to shoot a human being in self defense. You don't know what Jacob was reaching for. Neither do I. The officer did. The other officers did. Playing semantic games on who said 'possibly' and in what context is not going to get you anywhere.

Indeed. Interesting. This would indicate the Jacob was known to be violent and quite possibly could have been retrieving his gun from his car. The officer closest was very likely reacting to the presence of the weapon that Jacob was retrieving. This was my point all along. The video does not show a weapon by Jacob, but it does show him reaching into his car. It also shows several officers had their weapons drawn and trained on Jacob as they repeatedly ordered him to stop. The officer saw something that caused him to have to open fire. Once firing, officers will keep shooting.

As usual, the officers were placed on administrative leave while the circumstances of the shooting is investigated. Personally, I believe the officer acted in self defense and in defense of society.

The investigation will reveal more, of course. The press won't cover it. They Democrats don't want to waste this crisis.

It's gotta be tough for the cop. It's never fun to have to shoot someone in the line of duty.

Heather and Bret on a recent podcast took a major story that is for sure true but gets in the way of the narrative the elite are pushing and showed how 7 or so major "news" organizations never mentioned it once....then said that this sadly has become the norm.

They are correct.

Trump detests these fake news pundits. They are not news. They are spin artists and fiction writers. The so-called 'mainstream' news is not news at all. CNN, MSNBC, the Associated Press, the New York Times, the L.A Times, the Washington Compost, they are all the same. Junk.

The National Enquirer does a better job at news than these guys. It's sad.

Fortunately, with the internet, they can't really get away with this anymore. Too many people are watching and recording the media's own contradicting news and statements. Too many people can see the bias imposed by Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Alternative sites that don't do this are already coming on line. Over time, they will replace these losers.

That's the nice thing about monopolies. They get too big to change. Like an old dinosaur. It's only a matter of time before some little startup comes along and shoots their kneecaps off.

IBM was once essentially a monopoly in the computer industry. They're barely noticed now. The minicomputer and then the personal computer completely destroyed their business model. They had to build personal computers too. They tried a monopoly in that. It failed. You can get PC's made by a lot of people now. You don't have to buy an IBM pc anymore. Microsoft and Apple kicked IBM's butt. Now Linux and Unix machines are kicking Microsoft's butt. No government had to intervene. Monopolies destroy themselves. The only way they can survive as a monopoly is with government help.

It happened to IBM. It happened to Kodak (remember when we had to develop our pictures? How quaint! :D It happened to Blackberry. It happened to RCA. It happened to Intel. I did it to a couple of instrumentation large companies. They couldn't change fast enough to cope with my improved designs. They no longer exist now. They couldn't serve society as well as I could and they were too big to change.

If it can happen to these, it can happen to Facebook, the Associated Press, CNN, MSNBC, and Twitter. It's already happening. Have hope. All is not lost.

The video only shows the shooting officer with his weapon drawn. The other officer was only following the two and didn't point anything until the Blake was being shot. The female officer was covering the back of the car and, although glimpsed briefly before the shooting, wasn't pointing her weapon (or appear to have it drawn) until the shooting started.

I'm curious to see what evidence the State of Wisconsin presents after they complete their investigation.
