Um yeah Democrats, about the uh debt

uh, about that $1,200,000,000,00 +/- $100,000,000,000 inherited deficit for the year before he even is sworn in...:pke:

not to mention the existing deficit of over $10,000,000,000,000

how much was the deficit when bushco took over...

Jeesh, with such an 'inherited' deficit, you'd think he would be proposing some sort of restraint in spending, but instead, he has already proposed over $2 trillion in new spending, and he hasn't even been sworn in, that's got to set some kind of record! Since the election, Nancy, Harry and the Dems, have been handing out trillions in bailouts, and there seems to be no end in sight. They are now talking about a "super-stimulus package" they hope to have ready by Jan. 20th, for Obama to sign, and he probably can't wait!

I guess they are trying to make Bush look like the conservative they claimed he was!

You see you have a little problem with your crazy ass spending or stimulus or corp welfare or bailout plans or whatever you want to call it these days.
There might not be anyone interested in buying up the giant debt increases you will be packing on when you more than double Bush's already massive deficits from $455 billion to 1.2 trillion.

"U.S. debt is losing its appeal in China
China has bought more than $1 trillion in American debt, but as the global downturn has intensified, Beijing is starting to keep more of its money at home - a shift that could pose some challenges to the U.S. government in the near future but eventually may even produce salutary effects on the world economy.

At first glance, the declining Chinese appetite for U.S. debt - apparent in a series of hints from Chinese policy makers over the past two weeks, with official statistics due for release in the next few days - comes at an inopportune time. On Tuesday, the U.S. president-elect, Barack Obama, said Americans should get used to the prospect of "trillion-dollar deficits for years to come" as he seeks to finance an $800 billion economic stimulus package.

Normally, China would be the most avid taker of the debt required to pay for those deficits, mainly short-term Treasury securities. In the past five years, China has spent as much as one-seventh of its entire economic output on the purchase of foreign debt - largely U.S. Treasury bonds and American mortgage-backed securities.

But now, Beijing is seeking to pay for its own $600 billion economic stimulus - just as tax revenue falls sharply as the Chinese economy slows. Regulators have ordered banks to lend more money to small and midsize enterprises, many of which are struggling with slower exports, and Chinese bankers say they are being instructed to lend more to local governments to allow them to build new roads and other projects as part of the stimulus program.

"All the key drivers of China's Treasury purchases are disappearing," said Ben Simpfendorfer, an economist in the Hong Kong office of the Royal Bank of Scotland. "There's a waning appetite for dollars and a waning appetite for Treasuries. And that complicates the outlook for interest rates."

I have to give some props to the Dems, when they said they were for change, well going from under half trillion deficits to over full trillion deficits sure is change...and who on earth could have predicted they would be less fiscally responsible than the Repubs? Who could that be?
I know, I know, Repubs were bad so Dems had to be better or both parties are the same, etc...

They might tire of us, but they need us. Who else is going to buy their crap?

Dano, seriously. Pull your partisan blinders off. The Republicans laid the largest launching pad for increased spending of all time, and that what the Democrats are stepping off right now. You, Dano, YOU deferred responsibility from the Republicans about the spending for whatever reason, and now you're feigning outrage that the pother half of the RepubliCrats will spend spend spend.

You are part of the ilk that brings this shit on. Partisans are the ones who don't ever realize both parties are cogs in the SAME WHEEL with spending.

Jesus. Jesus.

I have one word for Dano, Iraq.

I'm going to call it "Pissed Off Wife Syndrome!"

It's what happens to the guy who forgets his anniversary, and also forgets to tell his wife he is spending that day at the golf course. Or maybe he goes to a strip club when she's pregnant... the point is, her "revenge" is to max out his credit cards on a whirlwind shopping spree at the local mall... sell his golf clubs on ebay... and have an affair with the Italian gigolo working at the spa.

That's what the Democrats have now.... Bush Derangement Syndrome has given way to Pissed Off Wife Syndrome. Look for us to be hosting the "Chinese Masters" in Augusta and fucking Italy by next year.

This is hilarious. The republicans spend us into the biggest deficit hole in history, and then the conservative posters on here have the audacity to be derogatory about the democrat's budget.

Absolutely hilarious.

**in his pissed off wife voice**

This is hilarious! You totally forget our anniversary and spend all day at the golf course with your buddies, and you have the audacity to get mad at me for doing a little shopping!

YEP! I am right again! Classic Pissed Off Wife Syndrome! That's exactly what y'all have!

LMAO! Losing the election has really sent you over the edge, hasn't it?

The analogy is ridiculous.

But lets put it into perspective. The republicans ran up the biggest deficit in history. The republicans lost the presidential election and control of the senate. Now republicans are whining about the spending plans of the democrats.

No husbands, wives, or golf courses involved.

Yes, I find that hilarious.

You want an analogy that works?

Remember the grasshopper and the ant story? The grasshopper eats like crazy while the ant stores food? Instead of the ant storing food, imagine him getting to the field in great numbers late in the season. And eating up a storm.

Your posts are like the grasshopper yelling at the ants for eating too much.

"You spend all night at the strip club drinking beer while I'm home pregnant with your baby, and you have the nerve to question my credit card expenditures? You need to read the Grasshopper and Ant Story mister!"

Yep... Y'all got it!

Umm, does anyone else get the feeling that Dixie is reliving a traumatic experience here?

The Repubs worst deficit is this year at $455 billion, the Dems FIRST deficit is expected to be around $1.2 TRILLION. Hell FUCKING yeah I have the audacity (of no hope) in deriding their leap in spending.
I am not some emo, I base my outrage on numbers, you should too. They are counting on good moderate people like yourself to give them a free pass and just blame Repubs for their first little bit of time in total power.

Also, one of my big pet peeves is this delusion that a majority of people seem to have that when one party's president is in power, the other one gets to do whatever the fuck they want and all blame goes to him. The Dems controlled the senate for half of Bush's terms (first 2 years and last 2 years), the Dems controlled the house for the last 2 years and regardless of that even when out of power, they often had moderate (usually north-eastern) Repubs to vote with them (ie: Chaffee, Snowe, Collins, etc...). The largest education spending increase ever came as Ted Kennedy's idea and an add-on to NCLB that the Dems wanted, as just one example of Dem spending blamed on Repubs.

Lastly one of the big complaints that Repubs have gotten is that they didn't care enough about controlling spending, so why would I or they be silent on Dem crazy high spending? Shouldn't we show we are trying to change?

this is repukes gone wild.

secondly are they the only ones that sign on with two names, I don't get that at all.

Let's get something straight. Since the election, I have seen the Democrats usher in one spending bill after another, as fast as they can fucking write the bills! Obama has probably outspent Bush in Bush's first year already, and he is still a couple weeks away from being actually sworn in as president! I've never seen anything like it, you people are acting like we have some endless pile of money in Washington that must be spent before Jan 20th or something, maybe so you can push all that spending off on Bush too???

All I have fucking heard from Democrats since the election, is Bush this and Bush that! When the hell are you going to stop whining and bitching about Bush, and get on with leading us out of this "monumental mess" you claim we are in? You sure as hell aren't going to do that by continuing to rant about Bush while you outspend anything Bush ever dreamed of in his wildest liberal fantasies! You are just like the "pissed off wife" and you are not being rational or reasonable whatsoever, you are out of your goddamn minds! When is the reckless disregard for any common sense going to stop? Do you honestly think you can govern this way for long? Obama and the Democrats won't last 4 years, hell, they may not make it through 2009 at this rate! We'll all be lined up at the soup kitchen, waiting and hoping for a bowl of potato soup!

Dixie, if you are going to use the "pissed off wife" concept, you might point it at the republicans.

In another thread you talked about the republicans being all about personal responsibility. Well, if you went golfing and forgot your anniversary, the personally responsible man would ACCEPT the anger and condemnation from the wife for HIS mistake. The wife didn't make a mistake. The man made the mistake. And I doubt the man can claim he didn't know it was important to her.

We can't tax our way out of this recession. But this partisan "You Dems are spending like crazy" coming from the party who just finished spending like crazy is ridiculous.

Dixie did it ever occur to you that your wife should have been pissed off when she was pregnant and you were out drinking all night in a bar?

Darla, did you hear? Republicans are all about personal responsibility.

"Sarbanes-Oxley cost over 1.3 trillion in lost productivity, again a Liberal idea with moderate Repubs signing on."

Hahahahahahaha - how many times do you have to be embarassed on this point before you shut up about it? Answer - never. You're shameless.

Duh.
