The remora of JPP
I keep a box of masks in the car and wear them wherever mandated.
Except the gym. That’s plain stupid.
There's a lot of spit at the gym.

COVID will not dictate my life.
...and spread COVID wherever it isn't. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You've bragged before about being a "healthcare worker" who doesn't wear a mask when your bosses aren't looking.
Carp, if I wanted to ‘put on internet airs’ I’d fake being a surgeon and I could fool you very easily. With half my brain tied behind my back.
I *was* a healthcare worker/drone/peon that wore masks for 40 years and now that I’m retired I can’t get away from the damn things.
And yes, they are largely pointless.
Ahh, so you lied before when you said you didn't wear masks at work during this pandemic. Got it. Thanks.

Thanks for wearing masks. Be careful at the gym.

Carp, I haven’t been to work since March.
Masks have been mandated *in surgery* since the turn of the century. Find another thread, your embarrassing yourself.

What's the common denominator? Yep you got it! Spittle!
So as a peon, you got to clean up the surgical theater after the operation(s) were completed? No wonder you were not considered an essential worker, since elective surgeries were wisely canceled for quite a while.
Aerosolized respiratory droplets. Not really spittle (which comes from the oral cavity). Masks stop the droplets from a cough or sneeze from reaching far enough to hit the face of a person standing outside the social-distance zone of six feet.
Choir singers, panting gym exercisers, yelling kids/politicians, etc. without masks are expelling aerosolized droplets from their nose and mouth further than those six feet -- if they are not wearing masks. Darth is right, masks are not great to wear in gyms. And that is why gyms are in the same high-risk category #8 as other venues in the chart above.

Owls sure are smart and wise!
Let every man choose.
It’s called freedom.
