If a nation that bordered us kept settling our lands, making incursions farther and farther in, and then blockaded us so we suffered food, medicine and water shortages, and took away our rights to move about freely, what do you think we would do?

It's not pointless at all. I've had it up to here with that crap, it's one of the reasons I left CP -that and I was tired of the theatrics, which I believe stopped us from being taken seriously.

Does it do anything more to stop something? Does it cause sanctions to apply?

Is it just a move to impress upon others your opinion of right and wrong?

You tell me what I say and do is "pointless" yet take "pointless" action when using your own criteria.

You are a ninny, I am sure my "Jew Masters" would disapprove of my suggestion that use of cluster bombs should net them a sanction.

I'm also not saying she shouldn't do it. I suggest she should do what she thinks is right, as I will regardless of her criteria for "pointless". Basically I am trying to point out to her, that regardless of her attempt to make me into an evil being she was simply wrong and then attempted to dismiss my opinion as "pointless" even when it agreed with hers and showing that her "pointless" rejection of these people from her group would not net any more benefit than my attempting to get sanctions would.

So quit poking your fatuous nose into a conversation you can't understand because it is above an 8th grade level.

What are you talking about? The group was founded in opposition to occupation. Its motto is, from iraq to palestine, occupation is a crime. Period.

If one does not believe in that, one needs to find a different group. I have no idea what you are talking about, but if you have a problem, you should definitely start your own group.

I have to be clear, I do not dislike Jewish people by any means. I do dislike Israel hardliners and their supporters. Many Jews very much disagree with Israel's foreign policy. Right now for instance, you have JStreet, a Jewish group strongly coming out against the Gaza invasion. And being called self-hating jews for it of course.

To me, it's just about war mongers. It just so happens that the Jews in my group seem to be very problematic with this, and they are going to have to find a new group.

You assumed my opinion, my belief, and expected nothing less than that. You then, when I agreed that we should do something about it continued in some sort of antagonistic vein even suggesting that what I may or may not do is "pointless".

Any time there is any thread whatsoever about war, you simply start in on that kind of BS.

While I believe that Israel does "answer" aggression from others, I believe that the type of answer is as important as answering. That this type of action perpetuates the continued violence between the two peoples that make up the majorities in that area.

While I do not agree with you on everything, and wouldn't join your peace group. I can certainly agree that cluster bombs where civilians are is heinous and would work with any group that would work towards the end of the use of such ordinances.

Nah, I think it was an idiomatic expression that suggested you took a point of antagonism rather than one that would work to inform. That you suddenly cannot understand methods of conversation used regularly throughout the world isn't a sign of a "thin skin" on my part. I think that it is a suggestion that you assume that I would work against you for some reason, then working from that assumption make every post a "battle" that doesn't need to be.
