Because Europeans have what we completely lack. A backbone. Trump supporters don't want to work to make America great. They want it handed to them. They believe they are so awesome and patriotic that they should share in the American dream without sharing in the work. They are lazy and they are stupid, and they loudmouth losers. They think patriotism is owning a gun and threatening to kill minorities and people that disagree with them. They are the worst that America has to offer. My Dad served in WWII. He was a B-17 pilot, was shot down over Germany and spent over a year in POW camp. Trumptards can't put on a fucking mask to protect him. Their claim that they support veterans is lip service. Veterans of the Vietnam war, the Korean War, and WWII are some of the most at risk populations in this country. THEY DON'T CARE. They can't be bothered to put on a mask, and worse yet, they can't be bothered to read a newspaper. They turn to Fox News, or Breitbart, or one of the other moronic right wing websites, and they are told that Donald will give them a white America where they can thrive. The most unAmerican stance you could possibly have. It's sad that they have become so pathetic and lazy.

Fanny, I've been wearing a bandana in public(indoors)since May because when I first started going places after the lockdown, I was mostly refused service if I forgot the damn thing, not because of anything Trump said. I've been washing my hands by myself for 60 years and I generally don't like being in close proximity to people I don't know anyway, so social distancing, check. So what the fuck is gonna change "when this administration is kicked to the curb"? Huh? What's comrade joe's plan to fix THIS? He's got jack-booted beto coming for my "AR-14", he's got jack-booted AOC coming for my truck and to clean up the cow farts. What's it gonna be? Jack booted Fauci's busting down my door to enforce the federal mask law? I tell ya, that's when I STOP wearing the damn thing! Are you old enough to remember the civil defense drills in elementary school? Loud ass siren goes off in the middle of town and you had to crawl under your desk, which would make you safe from the nuclear blast? That's what I think about every time I put that mask on, it makes me laugh. Do you really feel safe behind your mask?

I don't know what Joe is going to do. But here is what a leader SHOULD do:

Go out in front of the cameras every day, saying the same thing: "America - we need to buy time here. Wear a mask. Distance. Wash your hands. On our end, we're going to test & trace & like there is no tomorrow. We're going to do a moon shot on testing & tracing. Let's do these things to slow the virus practically to a halt - we can do it if we all work together."

That's it. That's all anyone has to do. Instead, we have a blithering idiot who has actually created the "debate" about masks, who hasn't been to a virus task force meeting since April, and who seems to think that the best solution to a pandemic is to ignore it, and it will just go away.

You literally can't make this up. This is where we're at right now. I never thought I'd see America not only fail to lead the world, but behave like a 3rd world dictatorship.

Per usual, the cases aren’t categorized and are all glommed together in one big number so it’s hard to know what exactly to make of it, but that’s beside the point.

CA guidelines mandated masks a month ago. And here there are setting a daily record at 11,000 cases [again, the raw numbers don’t tell us anything regarding clinical cases vs positive tests, but bear with me] so what gives?

Do masks work ‘just a bit’? I was under the impression that if we social distanced and masked, that the numbers would come down, we could open the economy up get things rocking again [well, maybe not too early, since the election isn’t till November].

The economy was beginning to recover. They had to lock it down again. Masks, of course, do not stop viruses. Neither does 6 feet.
