Florida Gov. DeSantis proves the naysayers wrong

Long ways to go to catch up with NY and NJ. Why is the left so adamant on taking the eye of those blue killer states?

My responses address the explicit premise of this thread. The thread author chose the topic.

The explicit premise of this thread was a to spike the football and pop the champagne cork for Florida's supposedly awesome performance at addressing the risk of pandemic.

Kind of like Democrats had HRC as the winner before the election results. I get it.

Are we all celebrating the 15,500 new cases in Florida? It's a new record for any state on any day. But on the plus side, you can go to Disney World. Fuck are Trumptards stupid.

So the new bar is 'you haven't had as many cases as New York had'. Don't worry, DeSantis will get there. No way he lets Cuomo beat him.

And still nowhere near the deaths of blue states NY and NJ. You may go now dumb fuck.

I’m wondering are these actual *cases* or positive tests?

And yeah, the death *rate* has a lot of catching up to do in order to clear Cuomo and DeBlasio’s bar.

New York had 600 new COVID cases yesterday.

Florida had 15,000 new cases yesterday.

I believe the point is to learn how to mitigate the risk of this pandemic. It doesn't look like Florida or Trump are leaning from this experience.

Wasn’t there a huge BLM protest in Miami Dade?

Where did that comparison enter the picture? Desantis was told if he opened too soon Coirona would spike and people would get sick and die. That is exactly what happened. 25 percent of those who recover have damage, lung damage, brain damage, and damage to other organs. Are you ok with that? Desantis will open more with Disney and soon schools opening. The result will be damage to a huge amount of Floridians. This did not have to happen to them.

Yawn. Did you have Covid before anyone even knew what it was? Is that the cause of your brain damage? It has to be something.

Where do you get this stuff?

No wonder some of you are scared out of your wits. The vast majority of *recoveries* are just that—recoveries. And it’s especially true in the younger population. They most often get mild or even vague symptoms and done. Recovered. No symptoms whatsoever are hardly uncommon.

They get thrown into the ‘recovered basket’. The organ damage is associated with the runaway immune response which occurs in a very small minority of patients. If a COVID patient survives the ICU experience, yes, they will likely have long term damage—usually to the lungs.

But statistically, very few of them end up there.

If 25% of *all* COVID cases resulted in major organ and even brain damage we’d be living through an unmitigated nightmare. They wouldn’t be able to build hospitals fast enough.

"Coronavirus: Florida reports single-day record of 15,300 new cases"

Florida shattered the national record Sunday for the largest single-day increase in positive coronavirus cases in any state since the beginning of the pandemic, adding more than 15,000 cases as its daily average death toll continued to also rise.

Doesn't matter. Months ago we knew that with aggressive testing the numbers
would go up. Besides, as I've shown the figures are inflated in the U.S. by the CDC.
Death rate continues to fall......
