I devised a pretty good plan for tonight but had to cancel today because my sisters family and my wife has the flu.

was going to have a limo pick us up at my pad drive us up to Boston to a nice restaurant to eat, then over to check out those ice sculpture things and maybe do a shot or 2 in a bar then drive over to a good spot to see the fireworks then back home.. . of course the whole time I will have a cooler of drinks in the limo.

Oh well I will save the loot instead and sit home.

Oh too bad, that sounds like a great night Chap.

Excellent, I hope we all do well.

I'm really looking forward to it. Politics aside we are set to have one of our best years as a family that we have ever had.

Really, that is great! I didn't mean politically either. I just feel it's going to be a good year.

New Year's day is one of my favorite holidays. All the expectation with none of the expense of Christmas.

I usually don't do a lot of partying. My tolerance for drunks has gone way down over the years.

But I do have a tradition involving some introspective looks at the previous and upcoming years. Good to sort it all out.

I to am experiencing an unusual sense of optomism for the comming year, and it has no basis in any form of evidence. I just feel its likely 09' is going to be a rebuilding and regrowth year for many.

Ill be in bed by 11 tonight. Which will be better than last years 9 pm bed time.

We are doing a family-wide Wii tournament. The girls all swear they'll stay up to midnight and watch the fireworks with me. We'll see. They haven't made it yet, but I think this year they might do it.

LMAO That's all I keep saying. I don't know if people here are particulary funny today, or I am just in a goofy mood.

I think it has something to do with wistful memories of a gold lame' dress?
