D.A. saying a Taser is considered a deadly weapon under Georgia Law.

I think the DA has a problem...

The taser gun was already discharged. ;)

1) I consulted with the police when I was making a decision on self defense options, and they gave me a quick familiarization course(decided against it because even a small taser is too bulky to conceal comfortably, and sometimes the things don't work, you're allowed to open carry them down here, but open carry is stupid)

2) Stun-Gun-680x477.jpg See the arcysparky between the 2 prongs at the front of the gun? That's what a taser looks like after the "darts" are fired and the dart magazine is ejected. That arc is what happens when you press the front of the gun into the dirtbag and pull the trigger. Kind of a bonus, eh? Very shocking!

3) The gun holds 2 dart magazines, so yes, the gun can be fired twice. But what I failed to mention was, once you get the darts into the target, each time you pull the trigger, you get a 5 second shocking experience, and I've seen people ride the lightning 5 times or more depending on the battery. It doesn't look like a very pleasant experience, but probably beats getting shot

Thank you. This one fires twice. https://www.axon.com/products/taser-x2

I was just wondering if it's the case here. Somebody mentioned that it was fired twice already. I'd need source for that.

Brooks took what the DA acknowledged was a "deadly weapon" from one of the officers. The officers, given the struggle and circumstances, didn't know what the status of the taser was. Brooks pointed it at an officer, and it certainly looks like he discharged it, but it really doesn't matter. Brooks, after violently resisting arrest was in possession of a "deadly weapon" as acknowledged by the DA, and pointed it at a police officer who responded by shooting him. Brooks had nothing coming.

He did discharge it. If you watch the video, you can see the flag laying on the ground. And you can see what appears to be a faint smoke coming out of the taser gun.

It makes no difference. He pointed it in the general direction of the officer. That constitutes intent to use deadly force. Shooting the perp is allowed.

It makes a difference because after he discharged the taser gun, it is no longer useful, that is if it's a one time deal.

I found the source that the taser gun was fired twice.

Tasers are used to incapacitate violent people.

They are not meant to be used on a police officer who has been hit in the face by a drunk thug who is resisting arrest and has just fired the taser at the police officer.

That's been my position since the first victim died of a heart attack induced by a taser
>Do you even memory, bro?

A Bible hitting someone in the temple can kill them but I don't classify as a lethal weapon. Tasers have always been sold as a non-lethal means of self-defence. https://www.taser.com/

WTF are you trying to say? Do you have a disability?
