But masks and social distancing are necessary, and I am sure the peaceful protestors, the rioters, and the police are all beginning to surge with covid infections.

Science has spoken. Doctors have said that they do not condemn these protests as risks for spreading Covid as they would any other event that does not do social distancing. Covid is a very smart disease you see.
