Trump says he hopes George Floyd 'looking down' and seeing today’s jobs numbers as 'a great day for him'

Trump has handled both COVID and the protests terribly. It's almost like he's writing a textbook on how not to lead.

You'll call that TDS, but check the polling w/ independents on that one. You have to be completely under Trump's spell to now acknowledge his failures in the face of crisis. He is not built to handle crisis.

It all comes back to your main point about Trump - you agree he's a boor & immature on many levels, but say it's only about results. Well, we're seeing the results of his lack of leadership. COVID could have been mitigated much earlier; we lost February, and he has been all over the place since w/ contradictory messages on everything from shutdowns to masks.

With the protests, I don't know how even his most loyal supporters could argue he has handled them well. He went into hiding, essentially. Then he held up a Bible for the cameras, after tear gassing peaceful protestors. "Tone deaf" doesn't even begin to describe it.

lies. Corona was followed by experts protocal to the T. February?? even the Who didn't know the extent of the virus by Feb. ame thing wit th masks -Fauci has been all over the place

There was no tear gas more lies. nothing but those from you and fake news

No tear gas? Anatta - I was WATCHING IT LIVE. Oh, and we still have the videotape, btw. It's 100% fact. How can you say there was no tear gas? Do you know how ignorant that sounds? There was absolutely tear gas. It was going on right while Trump was speaking in the Rose Garden, before he crossed the street.

What a credibility nosedive for you to deny that.

As for Corona, the intel Trump was getting internally completely contradicted all of the statements he made throughout February, i.e. "15 down to zero," and "we have it contained." Oh, and we have the video on that stuff, as well - it will be making a lot of appearances on campaign ads this summer & fall....

Secret Service says it did not use tear gas when Lafayette Park was cleared before Trump church visit
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/se...se-tear-gas-lafayette-park-trump-church-visit
The Secret Service has determined that no agency personnel used tear gas or capsicum spray during its efforts to secure the area near Lafayette Park on Monday, June 1st, 2020,” a Secret Service spokesperson said.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Park Police (USPP) denied using tear gas to clear away protesters in the park, after reports that they used tear gas and rubber bullets to clear mostly peaceful protesters.

In a statement released Tuesday by the USPP, the law enforcement agency said “no tear gas was used” when clearing a large group of protestors from the area. The USPP said it took the steps “to curtail the violence that was underway,” pushing back against claims that the protest was entirely peaceful.

“At approximately 6:33 pm, violent protestors on H Street NW began throwing projectiles including bricks, frozen water bottles and caustic liquids,” the USPP said in a statement. “The protestors also climbed onto a historic building at the north end of Lafayette Park that was destroyed by arson days prior. Intelligence had revealed calls for violence against the police, and officers found caches of glass bottles, baseball bats and metal poles hidden along the street.”

Still, the Park Police acknowledged using smoke canisters and pepper balls on the protesters.

as to Corona those were intelligence reports of a pandemic in China, but did not advise on human to human transmission
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/united-states-intelligence-china-coronavirus-supplies-ppe/
"Intelligence has just reported to me that I was correct, and that they did NOT bring up the CoronaVirus subject matter until late into January, just prior to my banning China from the U.S.," he wrote without citing specifics. "Also, they only spoke of the Virus in a very non-threatening, or matter of fact, manner."
so can you see the difference between tear gas and smoke cannisters on TV? of course not.
But you didn't look for it either, you jumped on fake news as usual = TDS

Thought I would check on how the leftists were feeling about today's historic numbers. As expected, I sense real sadness.

How sad for the democrat party that they now exist where good news for America is bad news for them

Sorry, dude - that's a difference that has no distinction.

Oh, cool; I stand corrected. It was just a ton of smoke and PEPPER BALLS that they threw into the crowd that made a peaceful gathering descend quickly into chaos & people running in all directions so they could breathe. Thanks for the hairsplit. I was "lying" about it, for sure.

I mean, can you hear yourself? You're actually arguing that this is a significant differentiator. It's like saying that someone got hit with a golf club, not a baseball bat.

Trump supporters. Smh.

Damn. The fact that many states opened up for business would result in more jobs,. This one is easy and not due to any Trump actions or policies.

obviously you have never been in a riot. I have during Vietnam
Pepper spray is more mild and much safer in terms of it not causing permanent damage the tear gas.

Look why it was used - the "peaceful protestors" had weapons caches - they could not allow Trump to go out with those peaceful demonstrators
Stop consuming fake news and learn the particulars

Like I said - a difference without a distinction.

I watched the whole thing. That crowd was behaved. Did Trump really need that photo op? It's not exaggeration to say that the protest immediately turned into chaos - people legit could have been hurt. The only reason they took that action was for the photo op. That's it.

You can call that leadership in a crisis. I never will - I don't care if it's Trump or whoever. It's pathetic. As is his somehow claiming that today is a "great day" for Floyd. The man is completely tone deaf.

"TDS" incoming. Such a boring retort.

who said it was due to his policies?

If this is so easy as you say, why were the projections from the so called "experts" so wildly out of line? Why didn't the experts predict it? Did you see it coming but not let anyone know?

I can wait for your response puddin

Your sadness is duly noted

awesome.
The Trump economy was so structurally sound the V shaped recovery happened.. everyone had expected a plateau .
But the destruction from the riots has greatly damage many small business nationwide - mean less hiring and employment going forward..God Speed the recovery

The riots are an insurance policy in case the lockdown didn’t do the job lol.

The economy didn't gain jobs, it merely took a month to claw back 6% of the jobs Trump and the GOP lost.

Y'all still have 40M jobs to go.

The experts predicted 100,000 dead by June 1st, and Trump beat that expectation by about 7,000.

None of the layoffs were necessary had Donald Trump just done his job in protecting America from viruses

But, NO! He had to lie to the Americans and tell us that there was no threat- even though he was being told that 5 million Americans were at risk if certain shut down, distancing, and tracking procedures were not immediately established.

Wasted 2 months, did nothing of any relevance, and let the virus run out of control that ended getting 20% of the work force across America laid off.

And now here we are with only a very few of them being able to return to work, with a percentage of Americans still unable to return to work at it's highest number since the Great Depression.

And he wants to take credit for that?

What's next, Donald Trump causes sun to rise in the East tomorrow?

I just gave you the distinction! Reading is Fundamental. try it sometimes

the "photo op" was to show we will not stand by while our institutions and and national monuments are under assault.
Did you know virtually every monument in Dc -including the Lincoln Memorial were defaced?
St Johns was FIREBOMBED -why do you never comment on that atrocity> because you are a Democratic political hack just like the media who never covers these acts

I call that defending religion from assault as well as standing up to defacing and destruction of our Heritage

stop displaying it, and I'll stop using it

Just listen to the Trumperoos who claim that they respect the sanctity of life, tell us that, that's just a few people, not a big deal.
