It's more like, if they had a duty to spend so much time with Floyd's case, then they should have done the same with Damond's. They didn't. And it seems pretty clear why. It didn't fit the narrative.
The problem is that they seem to consider anyone who disagrees with them to be a fascist. They also seem to consider some random bystanders to be fascists and even members of the press sometimes. They certainly aren't averse to attacking citizen journalists as if they were fascists.
