Also, YOUR religion has changed in what it considers moral. Throughout history it has changed numerous times. Sometimes based on politics, sometimes based on new scientific information, and sometimes on societal pressure.

So don't try to make it sound as though someone is trying to change something that is carved in stone.

What is unhealthy about gays and lesbians? They don't do anything that isn't done by far more straight couples.

The unhealthy lifestyle involves promiscuity, not being homosexual.

Also, the group with the LOWEST incidence HIV is lesbians. So compared to them, YOU are living an unhealthy lifestyle.


And if you are going to withhold medical insurance or healthcare from people who have lifestyles that contribute to their illnesses, you have to include obesity, many kinds of cancer, most incidences of heart disease, and plenty of other medical problems.

As I said previously, your disagreement with the worlds largest religions does not negate that fact that they define morality. Morality is a static concept, not subject to the whims of society as you claim.

Oh, so you claim that morality based on YOUR religion is unchanging?

And the #2 religion in the world is Islam. Are you saying that their morality and yours are the same?

Homosexual sex is sodomy, which is unhealthy an immoral no matter who does it. The diseases that occur are due to poor choices made by the individuals involved, so your comparison with cancer is indefensible.

Again, morality is fixed. Main stream Islam indeed has similar moral standards as main stream Christianity.

Absolutely not. Smokers makes choices to smoke. People make choices about their diet which is shown to be a major factor in many types of cancer.



Just to clarify, sodomy is defined as oral and anal sex. I am pretty sure there are more straight couples committing acts of sodomy than there are gay couples in existence, so your argument fails completely.


And just to educate you on a bit about health, the diseases caused by sodomy are largely communicable diseases. So the act itself is not causing them. Whereas, the cancers caused by choices of smoking and diet are, in fact, caused BY the choices made.

Lesbians commit sodomy as well. But they are the lowest risk group of all for sexually transmitted diseases. So again your argument fails completely.
 
Lots of things cause cancer. They are not immoral or even unhealthy, they just have a greater risk of causing cancer than other things. FLying in an airplane can cause cancer... But I would not catagorize it as "unhealthy" or immoral.

Is slavery immoral? At one time, according to christianity, it certainly was not.

Is polygamy immoral? At one time, according to the bible, it certainly was not.

Divorce is accepted by almost every protestant denomination. But at one time it was certainly immoral.


Is masturbation immoral? At one time it was taught to be immoral.

Is beating your wife immoral? That has changed throughout history as well.
