Should people who wish to legally bind their lives in the inexpensive and easy way a current legal marriage provides be allowed to do so no matter what their sex?

Activist Judges who make law from the bench, against the will of the people, which redefines an age-old religious tradition and custom, and base it on sexual behavior and preference, does indeed "threaten" said religious tradition and custom. The custom is sacred and fundamental to the religious beliefs and practices of certain individuals, so it is a direct encroachment on the 1st Amendment rights of those who hold the tradition in sanctity as a vital part of their religious practice.

Providing you understand the difference between a judge and a gay couple, I don't see how you can derive any flaw in logic of what I have said. If you want to snicker and chortle your little stupidities on this subject, please start a new thread, Robdawg deserves the dignity and respect of keeping this thread clear of your idiotic chortles.

And who is forced to accept anything? You don't have to accept it. You just don't get to decide who gets to marry and who does not.

The fact that gays are marrying in CT doesn't effect you at all, except if you want to pout about not getting your way.
 
Actually, gay marriage denigrates the institution of marriage and its 6000 year tradition. It also forces schools to teach kids about an unnatural, immoral, and unhealthy lifestyle choice and call it the opposite. And the ones whining about it are those in California who just lost their special privilege, and are resorting to near riots at area churches. When the voters in CT overturn the judges' edict you will see whining amongst the gays in CT much the same way.

That is a load of bull. CA has continually had the strictest gun laws, and much of the rest of the nation has relaxed their gun laws.

CA has continually had safety regulations that exceed the rest of the nation with no one coming close.

CA has continually had changes that the rest of the nation didn't follow.



The socially progressive laws that provide more freedoms to individuals have been followed. And these often started in CA.



My point? If the same people who scream about gay marriage had made as much noise about infidelities, divorces and domestic violence, there would have been a much better case for them being interested in protecting the sanctity of marriage.

But the christian right and the moral majority have not spoken out strongly against those other things.
