I fault both. You shouldn't excuse Trump's downplaying & misinformation early on - that's costing America dearly.

So, you wouldn't have shut down at all? Did it occur to you that projections may be off because more people complied with shutdown measures than they expected?

There was a Turk doctor - I forget his name that was incredulous that our NIH down recommended
hydrox and Zpak.

The VA "observation" was on older men with already severe infections - in which case the duo treatment can not stop a viral storm.
But if given early -when symptoms first present - they do a remarkable job of slowing the viral replication
and the duration and severity of the disease!

Why doesn't our press compare treatments instead of just running with the NIH?

Most of the time, he's just 'riffing' as a means to filibuster after a direct question. It allows him to burn time, without ever addressing the question.

Unfortunately, he's now in charge of addressing a serious crisis. Riffing isn't what the world needs from him right now.
