He/she would definitely more desirable to discuss the effects of this disease on the lungs than, say, some random protester whining because he can't go get a burger and fries and beer.
The OP was confusing respiratory therapists with respiratory nurses and didnt even get the facts right regarding nurses. Either would be excellent resources.
They are excellent sources for how disease processes affect the lungs, and about treatments. They are not particularly good sources for the type of knowledge that a physician would have. Which is the whole point of the OP. The RT apparently claimed to be a "doctor" and claimed that no one was telling him "what was going on." The original Havana Moon video was not included.
It doesn't matter to anyone who is politically extreme; to be extreme they must never consider alternative views, to never consider a middle-ground much less the opposing point of view. They could be told all day long but they will always refuse to listen. No one can make a person listen if they do not want to hear it.
As previously noted, RTs have advanced degrees. And you seriously underestimate what they kniw, especially if they have a doctorate.
