This "Doctor" Is Not Even a Nurse

It is important to make every team member feel like they are being heard. It is also important to get useful input from every team member, when there is time. But I really do not see the point in getting virus testing input from someone who does not even know what a virus test is. I have been a team leader, and team leaders can get bogged down in listening to the worst input.

This guy has gone on YouTube misinforming people about an important medical issue. He has violated medical codes of conduct. Worse still, he did it through ignorance. His input is highly suspect to say the least.

I must add, I am getting sick of this "everyone's opinion is equal" BS that the Alt Right spouts right before they say the experts should have no input.
If you've been a team leader you would know everyone's input is valuable....and every role equally as important....Do you think treatment without a respiratory therapist (especially in cases of respiratory distress) would be possible or successful?
I've not seen where anyone said experts should have no input... And....You'll have to be more specific about the "misinformation"...and how he's bogging someone down....

Everyone is not equally important, and everyone's input is not equally important. The janitor does not give as good advice about medical practices as the doctor. It is important to listen to the janitor's input about cleaning, because they know what might be being missed. And it does not hurt to listen to them and see if they have anything useful to suggest about medicine. But their input about fighting viruses is not equal to a doctors.

If it were, Havana Moon would not have lied and said this guy was a doctor. He tried to make him more credible and say he was a doctor. When it turned out that he was not a doctor, suddenly we hear that it does not matter what his training or education is, everyone's input is equal.

Doctors and nurses both have all the education and training that a respiratory therapist has, they just cost more. So yes, I could get all the treatment, and better treatment from doctors and nurses, it would just cost my insurance more money to do so.

He did not know what a virus test was. He claimed that the pandemic was a lie. He claimed that Covid-19 was not very contagious. He claimed the deaths were being faked. I could go on and on. Havana Moon said that he was a doctor, and so should know. Now it turns out that he is not even a nurse, we get to hear that it does not matter if he is a doctor or not.
 
I usually don't even bother reading threads I have been banned from, because they are almost always nonsense so bad that the original poster does not feel he can defend them. I usually ignore YouTube videos, because any idiot can make one.

But I actually watched the video that Havana Moon claims is "This doctor says lockdown is a lie". The individual in the video refuses to identify himself, but his grammar is poor. He does not seem to know much about why things are happening, and according to him, no one is interested in telling him. He does not understand that most "virus tests" are actually looking for the RNA or DNA of the virus, or the antibodies that react to the virus. All of this made me begin to question whether he really is a doctor. I mean, how does a medical doctor not know what a "virus test" is?

But then I watched it again, and heard the first claim he made. He said he was a "respiratory therapist". That is NOT a doctor. It is not even a nurse. They are sometimes called nurses, but are in fact less qualified than nurses.

A doctor would typically have 14 years of education, and training after high school. It would not be uncommon for it to be far more, and sometimes it can be a year or two less. But 14 years is a reasonable estimate.

A respiratory therapist has, at most, 2 years of education after high school. He has an associate degree from a community college. If he had a bachelors degree(4 years), he would be a respiratory nurse.

The reason no one is telling him why things are happening is they do not think he would understand, and they do not care about his input. It is the same reason no one is explaining to the janitorial staff.

I hope this helps Havana Moon understand the difference between a highly educated and trained medical professional, and a slightly trained support staff.

When it comes to science, whether climate science, evolution, or medical science, you would be absolutely floored at how frequently the right wing will use obscure blogs and non-peer reviewed "studies" as expert sources of science information.

So, everyone is an equally important part of the team... If the janitor or the respiratory therapist screws up, it won't mater much how well the doctor or nurse did their job.... would it?
