Which proves people are stupid. We went to the supermarket yesterday and we couldn't believe the number of shoppers not wearing a mask. Granted our numbers are low compared to other areas of the state but we have infected people and a couple deaths.

Maybe since they are mostly young and strong, any minimal exposure they got will be dealt with by their healthy immune systems and that won't happen.

It COULD work out that way.

It is a life or death experiment.

We should be able to see the results in a few weeks.

We shouldn't expect government to be like 'helicopter parents.'

Beaches could be safely reopened. That photo is scary. They are going to up the curve.

People have no fucking discipline. Can't even do a couple months of being a self isolating slug to save each other?
No wonder we are not revered like the greatest generation. And a cheating lying impeached potus fomenting irresponsibility and shirking his responsibility

Do you go into a grocery store? Because your chances of catching Covid there outnumber any minuscule chance of catching it on a beach....in 40 mph winds.

I agree. It really varies depending on which market I go to. Yesterday I went to one and every customer was masked.
I go to another full of Trump people and they are proudly, practically menacingly walking around like nothing is wrong.

I'll go to the beach in a heartbeat -- but I haven't stepped foot in a grocery store in 5 weeks today.

So glad the beaches are open now. A nice little getaway to take a walk after being housebound for weeks.

It doesn't matter if they are masked. Stores are a unventilated Covid mecca with aerosolized particles hanging in the air for hours.

The virus particles are so small they travel through any material with ease except an N95 mask. And that still allows 5% through.

Anyone hanging out in a grocery store....is a braindead idiot.

2 weeks for me to the grocery. no hotels open though -or i'd love to get away to Cocoa beach

Every day. I practice social distancing, slather the store supplied antibacterial all over the cart handle, and use the same as soon as I get into my truck. You are only addressing airborne particulates. The virus spreads in a number of ways, many of which are being ignored by the beach going trumpkins.

I don't go to the beach to meet other people. People stay with the people they go to the beach with in their own area. It's a large ventilated area and a peaceful experience. Obviously you are not familiar with beaches or beach life in general.

You have a bigger chance of winning the lottery than catching Covid on any beach. But keep going in those grocery stores, Covid havens, with your false sense of security.

Because the airborne particles are the main source of contagion.

I have practiced hand washing and cleanliness for years and probably why I never get the flu or colds. Never had a flu shot in my life.

But this virus is airborne and extremely contagious. By walking into a grocery store, you are gambling with catching it.

you idiot that was addressed. coughing in someones face or in your hand and then touching etc..direct contact.. nothing else

there are no hard non-porous surfaces on a beach. Nothing for a virus to live on + it's outside in sunlight and salt water.

You could not design a safer enviornment
