Three out of the last four years, Americans life expectancy has actually dropped. In the fourth, it barely rose. Most Americans are living longer, but the average is being dragged down by uneducated rural whites. If you want a clearer demographic description, it correlates more strongly with trump supporters.
It is drinking, drugs, increased smoking, suicide, car accidents, diabetes, increased heart disease, etc. causing these deaths, but I would generally call it poor personal choices. It has killed more Americans than AIDS. These people need help.
There violent opposition to getting help makes all of that more difficult.

You are getting closer, but still not there. Hassan's attack was in the new in 2009, 8 years after 9/11. You still cannot find American Muslims cheering 9/11 at the time. trump's story was a lie.
I do not like any Muslim who cheers 9/11 at any time, and I do not like any MAGA loser who cheers COVID-19 hitting NYC.
If they had better access to mental health treatment, preventative check-ups and testing, and affordable health care in general their life expectancy would be the same as that of residents in wealthier states. Why should this be so patchwork and piecemeal? Why aren't ALL of our citizens enjoying these things enjoyed by civilized societies all over the world?
Answer: Because they think having this stuff somehow impinges on their "freedom." Freedom to needlessly suffer, and die?

We have a massive opioid and drug epidemic problem in San Francisco. A large number of deaths. So if simply being liberal and living in a wealthy area is all that's required shouldn't this problem not exist here (or anywhere near the extent that it does)?
