Trump did essentially nothing in Jan. Same for Feb. Fauci talked Trump into stopping flights from China after many had already flown in. Trump talks about that like it was important. It was too late , The virus was here.

Sorry to disappoint, but no President was going to stop Patient Zero from entering the country from China.

The first positive test in Seattle almost certainly *wasn't* the first COVID infection in our population. It was just the first one that was tested and confirmed. Who knows how many asymptomatic carries came over from China, to here, even before China was fully aware of the problem.

You’re criticism is like blaming Bush for not placing post-9/11 airline restrictions in order to prevent 9/11 from happening. That would have gone over like a fart in a space suit.

IOW, it’s both partisan and weak.
 
The Chinese form of capitalism can get results, unpleasant though it is, whereas the American pretend-free-enterprise system, particularly when led by an American (television) 'success' who lost a lot of the money he inherited and never had any very clear contact with reality even before he went senile. I don't think it matters much about the original Chinese figures: they got round to dealing with the reality, whereas Trump cares only for his ratings. I do fear for decent Americans unless you get shot of this unelected regime.
