Yes. And nobody denies that. But the CDC estimates that as many as 240 million Americans will contract COVID-19 if better measures aren't taken.

20% of 240 million is 48 million.

Can our hospitals handle 48 million patients? And even if only 1% of those 48 million die, that's still almost half a million Americans dead by the time this pandemic ends.
 
Until there is a cure, everyone on the planet will get this at some point or another, except for absolute hermits.
I must infer Republicans are OK with 140 million deaths globally based on the existing world population, and then recurring death thereafter
at 2% in perpetuity. Feel free to juggle the numbers, but these are the numbers now available.

The flu has killed over 14,000, hospitalized over 250,000, and 26 million have had it THIS YEAR. Why no mention of that?

Some people will die due to viral diseases. This is a fact. Some will recover. Those with compromised immune systems simply will not
be able to fight off certain diseases. It's like this every year. Medical treatments will save some, not all.
Worry and fear add to stress levels and also weaken immune response. So, take care of yourself, your family and friends and maintain your
peace in the midst of a storm. Peace.
