What we knew about the Coronavirus might not be right

I always tried to include the caveats that it is still developing, and we cannot be sure. I often did not, but I tried to. trump is very certain he knows everything he needs to, even though he blatantly gets things wrong.

But moving on to the thing we might have gotten wrong. We thought we knew that it hit the elderly hard, but the younger not very hard. This might be true, but more recent evidence throws this into doubt.

In France, more than half the people in intensive care are under 60.

I can come up with some hypotheses, but have no reason to believe any of them:
1) Maybe we have just seen some super-spreaders in old folks' homes, and now that it is spreading outside them we are seeing how dangerous it is to younger people.
2) Maybe the French coronavirus has mutated into a form that is more dangerous to younger people.
3) Maybe the French show more concern for younger people than other nations and are putting them into intensive care more.
4) Maybe the French are just wrong.

I could go on and on. What worries me is there might not be people in the US Government trying to figure out why this is happening.
