Hoarding food due to coronavirus

This situation is going to get much worse before it gets better????????????????????

Probably a lot of GDP growth for Q3
What I said. As much as the left tries to blame COVID-19 on Trump, it will end up helping him. Q3 growth will be roaring, election in the middle of Q4. And trump will have cured the China virus.

I bought three cans of soup.....two creamy chicken with with wild rice and one cheesy chicken enchilada......that should do me till the crisis is over.....

Time will tell, but smart people see this as an economic opportunity to double down on their 401k/mutual fund investments.

I recently retired so I'm no longer buying but I did get unbelievably lucky. Right after all this started I was in the process of rolling over my self employment 401k into a schwab ira which went directly into their money market account.
Initially before it transitioned my 401k went down about $200,000 but after that it would've gone down another $400,000 (estimated). I feel as if I made $400,000. I'm gonna wait about a month then I'll put it back into an S&P index fund.
In the meantime I've got a stock portfolio I call my 'play money'. I strongly disagree with day trading but when the market goes up 1,000 pts it looks like a good time to sell then buy back the next day when it will inevitably go down.

Congrats on the luck.

I'm close to retirement so it's difficult for me to double-down, but I did double-down during the Great Recession and came out very well for it.

Agreed on day trading; too much work for my taste. Dollar cost averaging and mutual funds worked fine for me.

Some people are acting like this is the zombie apocalypse, which is ridiculous. A lot of them looks like Trump voters to me!

Vulnerable people like seniors and children might need to hunker down at home. They should have priority on bottled water, canned goods, TP. The 27 year old able bodied dude frantically rushing around the grocery store with cart loaded to the brim with water needs to be punched in the mouth!
