The officials warned William Barr’s interference in criminal cases for Trump’s personal benefit is behavior one would expect to see in an autocracy.

More than 1,100 former federal prosecutors and Justice Department officials are calling on Attorney General William Barr to resign following reports Barr and President Donald Trump intervened in the criminal prosecution of Trump’s friend Roger Stone.

In an open letter released Sunday, the former officials say Barr broke Justice Department rules when he overruled federal prosecutors in Stone’s criminal case, seeking a far more lenient sentence than the potential nine years prosecutors originally recommended.

Tells me he's doing something right. Nine yr. prison sentence for a process crime on someone with no criminal history from a bogus investigation that came up empty? That's truly insane. And then you have McCabe, Comey et al who did the exact same thing and don't even get charged.

How can you people say it was a process crime. He lied under oath. You were willing to impeach Clinton for doing so.

that IS a process crime bereft of any other guilt of the investigation.
Stone did nothing other then process crimes /even so called "witness tampering" ( which the witness denies)
is a process crime. the definition of a process crime is?
If it weren't for the "process" of investigation; Stone would have committed no crime :eek:

Mullet was a first rate ‘crime generator’. I think process charges should be dropped in investigations that find no underlying crime.

Our wonderful two-tiered justice system is on display for all *the world* to see.

Maybe it’s time us deplorables took a page out of the former prosecutors playbook. Except there are millions more of us. Maybe it’s time for a march on Washington.

Indeed, that was my point.

I expect that millions of private sector employees could be found that want their former employer to be shot at sunrise but they are not so dense as to voice that opinion.

The 1100 figure seems to appear at regular intervals. What are these disgruntled former government employees doing now? Getting wet, because they don’t have enough sense to come in out of the rain.

He intimidated a witness...he as found guilty of multiple crimes.

I am an advocate for shorter prison sentences...and I would love to see him getting a shorter sentence...BUT THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES SHOULD NOT BE PUBLICLY DECLARING SHIT LIKE THIS DISGUSTING PIECE OF SHIT IS DECLARING.
