I'd prefer to not have such a fucking stupid President.
I'd prefer it if you weren't such an insufferable, pathological lying dumb fuck on steroids.
I'd prefer to not have such a fucking stupid President.
The bailout from Trump's tariffs?
Which we had to pay for with higher prices and tariffs imposed on our exports.
Which we had to pay for with higher prices and tariffs imposed on our exports.

It's NOT socialism.
Before Dem Socialists started confiscating Worker's Wages, our gov't was financed by tariffs paid to us by foreigners.
Which led to high paying jobs here at home.![]()
At the price of a lower standard of living. Our products were too expensive to export and for lower income Americans.
That is all, please try to explain it!

Better than penalizing people for having a job.
And at least you had a choice to NOT buy those imports, or NOT sell your goods overseas.
Anyway, how can the American worker compete with foreign low wage workers, Einstein?
They can't. That is the economic principle of comparative advantage. Nations with low skill and low pay do the unskilled labor at cheaper prices for American consumers. They put the i-phones together while Americans design and sell them. That provides high paying jobs for Americans and lower price products.

Whose standard of living has been sacrificed as a result? I would like to see some facts; not hyperbole, assumptions or wild eyed speculation.
You know that is a flawed and classist argument.![]()
Everyone. The prices of cars, appliances, electronics were made by high-income workers selling for high prices limiting what they could afford to buy. Those products are too expensive to export limiting the market.
That is what the president is trying to accomplish--create a fair free trade economy; otherwise, he would keep those tariffs if he thought they worked well. It helped a few but hurt many (thus the reason for the farm subsidies).
I am sorry; but "because you say so" doesn't cut it.![]()
Classist? My, aren't we PC. It is not classist because those young women working for low wages are making more than their fisherman fathers will ever make. That makes both sides better off.
No like in Canada and Germany.
And Israel.
And South Korea.

Even Mexico has single payer health care.
Getting maimed working in sweat shops alongside children, polluting their own air and water.
I thought you would approve of a "green" subsistence living, lifestyle like small independent fisherman.
Not if I was poor and depleting the Oceans. Most nations will eventually improve working conditions and pollution like others going through an industrialization phase.
