Not only that but it makes no sense. I guess it is too difficult for our friends infected with Reichwingeritis to understand that the state is just trying to make $$ by allowing certain ppl access to normally-closed areas by charging them a permit fee.
We have several county and state parks nearby that include a lot of Lake Superior's shoreline. As far as I know there are no regulations stating that you can't be in them after dark (they do not have camp sites). We often see cars parked there at dark. It's a good place to get photos of the aurora when it's active. However, the state *does* charge a fee to use the parking lots in the parks -- last year it was $11/year. You get a separate tag when you renew your plates that you stick on there to show that you paid. Otherwise you get a ticket, or you can pay $9/day at the park's drop box. A lot of ppl just park out along the highway and hike back in.
I suppose this means the mean old libruls think the trees and lake are theirs too. lol
