“John Bolton put me through hell,”

You're just grasping desperately for anything to remove Trump, and when this impeachment trial fails to do anything, the Democrats will just come up with something else to smear Trump with.

Nope. I am relating what people think about Bolton. He has been shockingly crude in his pronouncements of the world and what he thinks should be done. He has not been diplomatic because he speaks his warmongering mind.
Trump is a disaster and a threat to the American system. He has torn down the walls that separated the branches. Now he is declaring himself above the law and the Repubs are accepting it all. Like Trump said, his version of the Constitution says he can do anything he wants.
Glad you are comfortable with that, but millions of us are repulsed by it.

Are you honestly trying to say that Obama suggested that if he had a son he'd be getting in trouble in school and out wandering around his divorced father's apartment complex alone on a Sunday night?

Obama said what he meant and he was/is not given to couching his meaning in code-speak like Trump and pretty much every other right-winger.

You are the one who is playing dumb here.

Obama merely showed empathy for parents who, for whatever the reason was and whoever was to blame, lost a teenage son. And because he, the parents and their deceased son were black, the right had a spastic meltdown over it.

Remember also, in his remarks he appealed for calm and encouraged the marchers and protesters to remain peaceful and not resort to violence. Something that is well within the purview and responsibility of his office, and something the right intentionally ignores and refuses to acknowledge.

All your side wants to harp on and mischaracterize, is the part about if he had a son.....

I guess that's one way of interpreting it.

I actually agree that he was in trouble a lot and likely did the things you claim, but it doesn't change the fact that his parents were grieving his death like any parents would be, and they deserved to hear from the President that he felt sympathy for them.

It's like you're expecting Obama to have come out and publicly said "screw him, he got what he deserved".

That's the only thing that would have made the right happy.

I was actually expecting him to stay out of the mess. It shouldn't have been a national news story, but the media turned it into one, like they always do when it has the preferred racial optics. It's like how they tried to make Zimmerman look as white as possible, when the guy looked more Latino than white.

Is Gonzomin a sock account of yours? I was responding to him.

Nevertheless, we'll see if the courts think he's acting above the law.

Trayvon Martin was far from perfect, but then again what teenager is perfect. What Martin was doing that evening was trying to get home as quickly as possible. He had gone to the convenience store to get some candy, and wanted to get home to watch the rest of the All Star Game that was so important to him. It was not late at night, it was 7:00pm in the evening. All of this is absolutely established. I do not even know why Republicans keep calling it late at night, we know for sure it was the evening.

What was Zimmerman doing? The night before he had badly abused his wife in a roid rage, and she had left him. When the steroid abuse rage got to be too much for him, and his wife was not there to abuse, he would grab his gun and go out looking for trouble. While looking for trouble, he came upon a kid just trying to get home to watch the basketball game. He chased down the kid, and murdered him.

Since Zimmerman murdered a child, he has gone on to threaten multiple other people with guns. Not a good human being.

Oh my God, trump is just delusional.

I have an idea. Bolton obviously had a very shady past when trump picked him for trump's administration. Why don't we call Bolton as a witness, then all the witnesses against him, and then all the witnesses against the guy who appointed him? I hear trump now has close to a hundred women accusing him of sexual assault. Even he accuses himself of sexual assault. he has been caught on tape sexually assaulting a woman. Bolton is a bit better, but not much. Remember Bolton has a long reputation of doing all sorts of crazy things when drunk, and he usually is drunk.

Experienced prosecutors are very good at getting around the fact that the witnesses to crimes are often criminals themselves. The fact is criminals tend to hang out with other criminals. Bolton is trying to get out of criminal conspiracy charges. But if there was no criminal conspiracy, then there would be no reason to try to get out of criminal conspiracy charges.

The last thing we need or want to do here is re-argue the Martin-Zimmerman case.

There were two sides to that story.

He chased her through the hotel hallway, he threw things at her, he harassed her relentlessly. “John Bolton put me through hell,” an American foreign aid contractor wrote to a U.S. Senate committee in 2005, as Bolton was being considered for a top diplomatic position in the George W. Bush administration.

The alleged harassment took place in 1994, when the foreign aid contractor, Melody Townsel, was working on a project in the post-Soviet republic of Kyrgyzstan. Unhappy with how the project was proceeding, Townsel complained about the corporation in charge. While her complaints were being investigated, Townsel was sent to Moscow. And the corporation sent a representative of its own to look into the matter.

At the time, that company representative — Bolton — was a 45-year-old former State Department official with a long history in Republican politics and a nearly-as-long history of causing controversy by alienating subordinates and sidestepping protocol.

In her 2005 letter to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Townsel described how Bolton supposedly harassed her at the Aerostar Hotel: “Mr. Bolton proceeded to chase me through the halls of a Russian hotel — throwing things at me, shoving threatening letters under my door and, generally, behaving like a madman,” Townsel wrote.

I don't think we need to smear Bolton. We just need to keep playing this video:

Flashback: John Bolton Described the President’s conversations with Zelensky as 'warm and cordial'

Trayvon had a history of violence as well. Thanks to Obama era policies aimed at reducing charges toward minors, Trayvon got off easy on previous thefts and drug possession.

In the end, Zimmerman just made sure he wouldn't steal from anyone else.

Martin had no criminal record. There were no charges to reduce. There was no violence in his history. He was suspended three times. Once for marijuana residue in a bag, which was not enough to arrest him for. Once for truancy, which would not usually be considered a crime. And finally, for probable graffiti, which the school punished internally. He was found with what might have been stolen jeweler, but nothing was proven, so no charges were pending.

None of the behavioral issues had anything to do with violence. He was not a perfect teenager, but teenagers are not perfect. Obama had nothing to do with him. Criminal punishments are decided on the state level, and Obama has never set state laws for Florida.

In the end, Zimmerman just made sure he wouldn't steal from anyone else.

How would you feel if Zimmerman made sure that someone close to you never steals? Or how about we let Zimmerman makes sure you never steal?

Zimmerman cannot just walk the streets killing random people to make sure they do not steal.
