At Least 1 Dead in Shooting at Texas Church

MAD

Mothers against drugs

we volunteer at the inner city schools and parks, you will find at least two of us in all parks in and around schools in all daylight hours

I see children like you every day, most of them find somewhere else to peddle their trouble, and some like you like to stay and agitate. but like you they always end up looking like the children they are when the cops show up, they run

You, but in a dress:

Bottom line: You want a gun and you don't care about the INEVITABLE deaths that occur because you like your odds of not being a victim.

That is it, 100%. There is NO OTHER EXPLANATION with any meaning at all.

Philosophical ethical question:

If you do something unnecessary and know for a fact 90 people per day will die because of it, are you a murderer?

I'm excluding cops, military and maybe some farmers protecting cattle... Guns are not strictly necessary, and if they were gone
three football stadiums per year would be not dead.

Can I tell you a secret?

*whispers* I don't think cops should be armed either *whispers*

There's nothing you can do with a gun that you can't also do with a crossbow.

Lets get real, how many times have you been attacked by someone with a gun?
Twice. Once in a college cafeteria, once at an airport.
You have a better chance getting hit by lightning, does that mean we should all stay indoors preparing for the worse?
Did you know that buildings are protected by lightning rods? Why bother putting those up? Don't you want to prepare for the worst? Did you know people buy insurance? Isn't that preparing for the worst?
New York, with one of the biggest urban population in the US, has one of the lowest murder rates by guns in the country, think there might be a relationship
Murder rates are going down pretty much everywhere in the U.S., despite some 300 million guns on the streets in this country.

Did you know that there aren't 300 million people trying to commit murder with their guns?

Incorrect, when you were a kid and your father told you you would have an allowance if you completed assigned household tasks did you think that you were automatically going to receive that allowance regardless of what you did?

As I said, the prefatory clause cites the purpose of the following operative clause, it common sense

What prefatory clause?

A gun equated to a fire extinguisher, beautiful

And living in your gated community most likely down South somewhere the only time you "had a gun in your face" was watching a TV cops and robbers show in HD

Good for you. Keep up your attitude, and you just might get a gun in your face.
Theft is a crime, you know.

How is it false, simple example but the same principle, one is dependent on the other, common sense

And I don't have to find anything, it is all there, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed," until you can define what the Founders meant by "well regulated Militia," which no Supreme Court has been able to do, the operative clause has no purpose

The Supreme Court does not have the authority to interpret the Constitution. See Article iii.

The 2nd amendment simply discusses:
1) the right of a state to defend itself as a state (using militias), and
2) the right of an individual to defend himself as an individual (using arms).

There is no prefatory clause. You obviously have no clue what a prefatory clause is.

Because that is where the majority of Trumpkins on this forum live, and anyone who suddenly comes out and declares in an exchange on guns that they have had guns stuck in their face is most likely inflating experience

Compositional error fallacy involving people as the class...bigotry.

silly child.......for some reason you don't realize you've been done since before you started.......you want change that is unconstitutional without bothering to change the constitution........its' just not going to happen......

It won't happen anyway. People are not going to just give up their guns or any other weapon.

I don't live in a gated community, I live in rural PA, so I'd have a 15 minute wait for the cops to show up. That's why I keep a loaded handgun handy in case of a break-in.

You don't get "a gun in your face" while "watching a TV cops and robbers show in HD." You need a 3D capable TV for that. HD just doesn't cut it, dummy.

Another one late to the party, ain't unconstitutional nor does anyone have to change the Constitution, and try to be more original next time

You deny the Constitution of the United States.

* You figure the Supreme Court has authority over the Constitution that defines its very existence.
* You deny the right of a state to defend itself.
* You deny the right of an individual to defend himself.
* You deny the binding nature of the 2nd amendment upon the States, including their counties, parishes, cities, and towns.
* You deny the constitutions of the individual States.
* You deny a republican form of government. You instead support fascism by oligarchy.
* You deny the number of guns on in private ownership in the United States at this very moment.
* You deny the number of guns NOT involved in any sort of crime whatsoever.
* You make bigoted statements, equating a few individuals with millions of individuals.
* You insult most of the population of the United States, calling innocent people criminals, or 'Rambo', or 'John Wayne'.
* You do not know what types of guns there are, what they do, or the advantages and disadvantages of any type of gun.
* You live in a fairy land that has no such thing as a gun or any other weapon.
* You have no problem with theft of private property. You have no problem with attempting to prohibit inherent rights of an individual.

People like you disgust me. It is people like trying you to overthrow the United States.

Trained well qualified security guard with a hand gun. GOOD.

Lunatic with an AR. BAD.

How hard is this concept for Republicans?

When a lunatic leftie has a gun and is on a rampage I will take my chances with anyone else that is armed and can shoot back

Well, I guess I can understand needing to protect your home from hillbillies high on meth, or opioid-addicted trash people.

But honestly, a strong security system, kick-guards on your doors, and strong locks are all you need to prevent break-ins. Most break-ins occur when no one is home...so unless you're a hermit who stays in your house 24/7 and never leaves, the chance of your weapon deterring a robbery or break in is pretty low...In fact, having your gun in your home just gives thieves something else to steal. 200,000 guns are stolen from homes, cars, and businesses just like that. I don't understand the logic of having another thing someone can steal from your house, then use to harm someone or sell it to someone who will.

People buy guns to protect their homes and cars from criminals armed with guns they stole from homes and cars.

And while you might say that no one has ever stolen a gun from you, I would say that no one has stolen a gun from you yet. No one is infallible. People make mistakes, particularly "responsible gun owners" who made the first mistake of bringing the gun into their home for it to be stolen.
