Define speedy. Poor people sit in jail for a year to get a trial. The House and Senate are on vacation. The premise is puerile.

how many really want a speedy trial? now that I this about it, doesn't the system survive off delay tactics and fees?

the speedy option should be there, but only for regular people and innocents.

Democrats have a patter of putting vacation over duty. Obama, Louisiana flood. Mr. President, American citizens are in need. "Fuck them" I am on vacation. Nancy Pelosi and Democrats "Trump is danger to national security, the constitution and America! He must be removed immediately or the country will fail!. Oh, fuck that, time for vacation. They have many, many more examples of this. I was not a fan of George Bush. But I was glad he was in office when 9/11 happened and not Gore. I can imagine what Democrats would do in a real emergency to this country. Fail, falter, and .......go on vacation!
