Correct me if I'm wrong, but in a jury trial isn't the jury suppose to be impartial till at least the proceedings begin? And I certainly know that members of the jury, especially the leader, is not suppose to work hand and hand with the defendants attorneys, well, that was the way cases were done prior to the Trump era

(And before the lemmings start with the "but but but what about the House," nothing was being litigated in the House, they were following the House rules set by the prior GOP House)

The Trumpkin's are all hoping they get to call all the witnesses Hannity wants called, ain't happening, then the whole facade will really turn into a circus with the Democrats demanding all of Trump's White House lackeys and perhaps Trump himself. Mitch wants this in and done in two weeks

The Senate is suppose to be based on an actual trial, the legal system, the House that of a Grand Jury, and as I said, if you want to bitch, yell at all those Jordan's, Meadows, Chavezs, Collins, Issas, and Nunes who established the House rules when they were in charge to conduct their umpteen "investigations," what goes around comes around, stop crying, your heroes set the rules

IOW...THE GOP WILL BE ABLE TO CALL THE WITNESSES THEY CHOOSE TO, and ASK THE QUESTIONS THAT WANT TO, REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE HOUSE POLITBURO THINKS ABOUT IT.

As I said, the real circus, but this one will be orchestrated by the White House and quickly recognized as another Trump production, the Democrats would love a Hannity "trial," but Mitch ain't letting that happen, the last thing he wants is a bitter Bolton under oath in front of a live TV audience
 
there may be no circus at all, Moscow Mitch is working very hard to simply hold a floor vote, no testimony or anything remotely resembling an actual trial

This isn't going anywhere yet Arsecheese; they still need a majority vote on the House Floor. It will be interesting to see how the 31 Democrats in Trump favoring districts vote. It only takes 20 defections to put an end to the REAL clown show we have seen put on by two morons Nadler and Schiff.

Let's pretend for just a bit that it's seven years ago, and Obama is on the verge of being impeached. For the sake of this scenario we'll stipulate that a whistleblower outed him for comments made during a phone call with Iran's leader. Let's say that Obama promised to go light on the issue of Iran's nuclear program if Iran's leader would announce that it was investigating whether Romney and his family had illegal dealings in that country. The (R)-dominated House opens an investigation into this possible quid pro quo, and produces multiple credible witnesses who not only heard the same conversation, but who also testify that Obama had his personal attorney meeting with government officials in Iran in furtherance of the goal of throwing shade on Romney. After weeks of information-gathering, the House votes to impeach Obama for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, and the matter then goes to the Senate, which has a (D) majority. Senator Majority Leader McCaskill (D-MO) says that she won't call any witnesses and will merely hold a vote to acquit Obama of all charges.

Something tells me that your satisfaction with this scenario would be quite different than it is now. Why is that? Shouldn't the law apply to every POTUS equally? Or do (R)s get special dispensation to violate the Constitution? That's what you are saying, you know.

especially in Maine and Alaska, along with the swing states

you are crazed. the Schiff show was a farce -Nadler promised a minority day, and then said "no" and Schiff
was coaching witnesses and acting like a judge and prosecutor.

To complain about ANYTHING in the Senate takes more gall then reason/ hopefully the plug is pulled on this farce with a dismissal vote right off the bat, and then you can start your next impeachment circus

It is passing the House, Pelosi dominates the House as Mitch does the Senate, both have been around too long not to have control of events.

And there will be a few Democrats who will vote no or not vote at all, Pelosi will allow it, and she is not worried about next November, in today's 24 hour news cycle all of this will be a memory by then, one year ago today Trump started to shut down the Gov't that led to his debacle in January, how many voters outside of the bases do you think today can rememner that or even the January shutdown? Only thing remembered is that Trump will be the third President in history impeached
