It's interesting, we think of how many people have started businesses in this country on a shoe string budget. And they struggle, fight and claw to get clients, makes sales etc. in hopes of both surviving and ultimately growing their business. Yet the argument here is if you can't pay a $30/hr wage on Day 1 to any employees then you shouldn't be in business. Think about what that actually means. Especially if you are a (young) person of color trying to start your own venture.
