The Constitution

The constitution has failed. America is in $23 Trillion in debt and is entering terminal decay with thousands of Opioid deaths.. China is now the city on the hill.

America is the past. China is the future.

The Constitution didn't fail America.
Americans have failed the Constitution.

The Constitution didn't fail America.
Americans have failed the Constitution.

Then the constitution is incomplete, because if it was written properly... It would of included a financing section... on checks and balances, and requiring a surplus budget... year after year.

America has to think to the future, and not to the past... The constitution is the past. It's time to modernize and evolve like the rest of the world.... Get your head out of 1776 mentality.

What America should be doing is... stop wasting money on stupid wars... Join the global community... and lets build a colony on Mars...

Mankind needs something to aspire too.

There is a lack of civility on this discussion forum. On the subject of politics, in particular, people have become so polemic and so partisan that there is no place for argument anymore. The opposing party has become "the enemy." One cannot even agree to disagree for there is no tolerance for opposing views. It is a sad state of affairs when people can no longer even talk to each other without coming to blows.

But then this is nothing new in the history of politics. One of Octavian’s first acts as Triumvir was to add his friend, and mentor, Cicero, to the proscription lists to appease Antony, who had Cicero’s head and hands mounted on the Senate Rostra in the Forum Romanum. (A high price to pay for his Philippics!) And, in our own history, Alexander Hamilton might have lived to be President had he been more civil in his dealings with Aaron Burr.

I'm always polite with other forum members... I never call anyone stupid, or an asshole. I just don't show any civility for politics, because politics is stupid.

We need to disconnect ourselves. If we let any of this shit get to your head, we'll drive ourselves insane. Sometimes political exhaustion is a good thing. Will learn to take care of ourselves, before worrying about things we can't change.

The problem stems from the failure to differentiate between politics and the founding principles of our institutions of government established by the Constitution. In choosing our representatives and elected officials, one cannot help but be influenced by individual biases and prejudices that cloud our judgment; and the framers of the Constitution provided for the timing of elections and the appointment and confirmation of federal judges with this in mind and a view to a better and more balanced government. It should be noted that George Washington, who is considered the father of our country (and who presided over the Constitutional Convention) advised against political parties. See George Washington, "Farewell Address" (1796). The rest of our so-called "founding fathers" had no hesitation to choosing sides.

Everything wrong with the world now, is steaming from overpopulation.

It cost $3 million to buy a house in San Francisco now... I was just at Costco, and it's $30 for a kilogram of Salmon at Costco... because the oceans are over fished.

Canada is about to split apart... because Ottawa won't let Alberta build a pipeline..... because Canada is getting blamed for the worlds climate change.

We could have all the resources we want, but we need to curb population growth... before we loose our economic freedoms.

Brazil's rapidly increasing population is about to overtake the Amazon. If we don't stop population growth.... Most of the worlds untouched ecosystems will be wiped out for agriculture.

The only way for Capitalism and the environment to be compatible is if we keep the population stable.

The world just added the Population of China since the year 2000....

We need to wake up... This is where we raise our kids... We alienate them from nature... because we don't know when enough is enough... We think mega cities are aspiring... They're not.
Many conservatives are brainwashed fools. There is no New World Order plan to kill 90% of the population... The globalist want an endless supply of cheap labor, and are using zoning policies to pack us in like sardines, and make trillions off real-estate speculation.

That is certainly true, but it is not a constitutional issue. Yes, we are living in a Malthusian nightmare; but there seems little that the world can (or will) do about it. Charles Darwin held out hope that man would evolve into a more perfect species, but feared that he was already doomed to self-destruction before getting there. Certainly, we are no better for following the commandment to “Be fruitful and multiply. . . .” Genesis 1:28 (KJV). Ours has not been a history of good husbandry. Man may be master on this planet; but we are rapidly laying waste to the land and the sea on which we depend for life's subsistence; for when this goes, then, surely as the earth turns, so shall we go also.

The planet and plants an animals would be better off with a cut in human population by 99.8%

You're taking out 30 year mortgages to live in prisons. This is how we should be living. This is how you prevent the mental health epidemic... You don't let urbanization get out of hand. And we need to stop working 50/52 weeks of the year.

We could reduce the worlds population by 0.5% per year over the next 850 years to get to 100 million. I think that would be the optimal number.... for mankind to continue for the next million years....

Gradual depopulation is the only ethical way to do it... Letting the birth rate drop very slightly below the death rate...

A population higher than 100 million, isn't sustainable.

At 100 million we can maintain transocean shipping and have the aircraft run on biofuels once the oil runs out. We would need some world organization to use vasectomies and other ethical forms of population control... to keep mankind below 100 million for eternity.

The biggest cities shouldn't be more than 500 000.... and most towns should be between 1000 and 15 000 people.
