The hearings could well pivot on the question of Biden’s innocence or non-innocence. I’d hate to have my hat hung on the prospect of the Biden’s being squeaky clean in their dealings with the Ukrainians lol.

But that’s where Democrats find themselves with this.

That’s all Republicans need to establish: if the Biden’s were engaged in corruption then Trump was *justified* in his request that they be investigated. Republicans would be argue he was doing the country a service aka making a reasonable and appropriate foreign policy request.

Mueller also confirmed that Russia offered to help Trump, Trump accepted, a secret meeting was held, and Russia hacked the DNC servers. Mueller might not think that's not enough evidence in a court of law, but it's obvious that what he's describing is collusion.

Sure, but Trump wasn't asking Zelensky to examine corruption. He was asking them to specifically examine one of his political opponents, as a personal favor, in return for money that was already promised to Ukraine.

Was it ok for Trump to ‘ask a favor’ of the Ukrainian leader and look into CrowdStrike? Or would a finding that contradicts the Mullet report ‘be too beneficial’ for Trump?

was it okay for a disgraced lib'rul millennial to pretend that Trump asked Zelensy to find dirt on Biden in a debunked conspiracy theory in return for aid that was already promised?......no. it was not.......but then only a handful of people believe you........unfortunately, some of them are demmycunt members of the house, so we will spend another year watching them embarrass themselves like they did during the Mueller investigation that proved them wrong........

No, he was asking for a specific favor about one specific case of debunked corruption. I agree with Chris Christie. If Trump was just saying something like "Hey, we give you a lot of money, so you have to do your part and crack down on corruption," then sure, nothing wrong with that. But, like Christie said, if Trump asked for a favor and said he wanted Ukraine to examine Biden specifically, that's a different story.
