White House 'tried to cover up details of Trump-Ukraine call'

Senior White House officials tried to "lock down" all details of a phone call between Donald Trump and the Ukrainian president, according to a whistleblower complaint against President Trump.

In the call, Mr Trump pushed Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate his leading domestic political rival, Joe Biden.

The newly released complaint says the call transcript was not stored in the usual computer system.

Instead it was stored in a separate system used for classified information.

The whistleblower's complaint accuses Mr Trump of "using the power of his office to solicit interference from a foreign country in the US 2020 election".

The now unclassified document says: "This interference includes, among other things pressuring a foreign country to investigate one of the president's main domestic political rivals."

The complaint characterises the president's conduct as a "serious or flagrant problem, abuse, or violation of law".

the republican party will be for the racists only soon

the people backing trump will be hated as much as trump will be hated world wide

Why did they do so if the call was so perfect?

So far, it is just an allegation.

But if true, I would want to know why the President of the United States asked a foreign government to investigate his chief American political rival, and then took the apparently unusual step of classifying, "dissapearing", and archiving the transcript of the phone call.

The people of the world do not all think like you or have such bitterness.

I don't hate Trump. I feel sorry for him. Having so much, having all the money he ever needed to enjoy life, but unable to do so.

Trump's life is a tragedy.

Oh, can you imagine the books, movies, songs to come.

I don't hate him at all. Hatred is illogical.

I feel sorry for him and I forgive him.

Don't even think for a moment that I believe he should be given any leniency.

He dug his furrow and he needs to lie in it. He's pretty good at lying so that should be no problem.

Talk about epic fails.

It's sad.

Yes. We all want to know.

This is what Trump tweeted:

“Is their a case for impeachment? Absolutely not!”

The guy's a fucking moron who can't even get simple elementary school grammar correct.

You got the crime then the coverup.

Nobody has answered yet, why cover it up if the call was perfect?

Interesting times we live in.

This is getting MUCH bigger, VERY quickly.

"The complaint, citing multiple US officials, alleges that White House lawyers have been stuffing politically troubling records of presidential calls into highly classified storage to hide them from scrutiny throughout Trump’s presidency. This just got much bigger."

not true. Zelensky specifically said "no pressure".

I would imagine they were afraid of yet MORE leaks (in terms of server storage)

In my experience, the rightwing on jpp has to wait for Fox, Limgaugh, Hannity, et al. to provide them with talking points.

Sadly, the rightwing on jpp dot com is not exactly known for independent thinking, originality, and clarity of thought.

This is all just stupid. It resists additional reduction or explication. The call speaks for itself. It is in it's very nature corrupt.
Corrupt purpose, corrupt intent and illegal. Ask any 5 year old kid, he would know that. Funny is the spine breaking gymnastics
Rumptards will have to do to rationalize or deflect or whatever.

Every time they do, just read the fucking transcript of Rump's mafia phonecall.
