Unless he is a dangerous loon I think he has a good First Amendment case.

In our absurd PC culture you can’t take an historical interest in the Confederacy in your own home. And if that’s the case, he’ll win easily.

Even when Off Duty, cops are On duty. Maybe that's why a work ethic violation in his home is a reason to be fired. I can only speculate.

You know folks, we are still a FREE nation with LIBERTIES and the right to speak freely. Be very careful about the Fascist steps being taken here to remove any and all offensive speech one does not like. Beware of who gets to define what is allowed and what is not going to be allowed.

While White Supremacy and the KKK are an abomination; they still have RIGHTS as long as they are not in violation of our laws. ;)

I doubt that. The press will be totally opposed to him and convict him and then the jury will go along.

It was in his private home and as far as we know he was not public about it, nor let it effect his duties.

As much as I despise racism, he has a constitutional right to believe it and express it in his own dwelling, off duty and in no official capacity.

I know most of you support this because of the type of speech it is, however, it is still protected speech.

He was wrongfully terminated.
 
What the heck? What if he's just a history buff? Some folks buy some stuff like that because it is historical, not because they are racists. I mean, dang. I'll wait for the release of the information from the investigation to judge. Maybe it was his own application.

It is likely a historical figure's application and he has it because some people like to collect historical documents. But I'm not sure. I paid for a tax stamp from pre-civil war, but wouldn't likely pay for this kind of thing. It smacks too much of paying for nazi stuff...

I don't know though, what if it had the signature of somebody significant? Yeah, gross that it is on that, but sometimes the signature itself is worth enough. I just have no idea. It's also possible that this guy is an idiot and he framed his own application for the KKK and put it up thinking it would be fine...

I just don't know what to think.

Collecting historical documents is one thing. Nothing wrong with that. But if I’m trying to sell my home I’m trying to appeal to the entire market (because green see’s no color). And I don’t see how having a KKK application hanging on your wall adds value (unless maybe another klan supporter sees it and is willing to over pay for your home). It doesn’t make sense to me.

Yeah, I stage my houses, I take down all the personal crap. But I have nothing like that to begin with... LOL.

What is so abominable about white supremacy?? Do you really think blacks are mentally equal to whites? If so then explain.

1. Black-americans come in last in all standardized tests. Asian-americans do fine on all the tests so it's not due to cultural bias in the tests.

2. Africa is by far the poorest and most backward continent on the planet. All of black africa is now controlled by blacks and has been for decades so it's not due to racism.

3. No black has ever won a Science Nobel Prize unless you count one in 1979 for the semi-science of economics. They have won many nobels in non-brain fields like Peace and also in Literature so it is not due to racism.

4. Out of 1552 chess grandmasters in the world, only THREE are black.
