Those supposed quotes are largely cherry picked phrases employed to defend whatever point of view the editor is pushing, regardless of the Founding Father, if you read enough, you can find and frame a quote to support just about anything

It was the modern democrat party (progressive Woodrow Wilson) that bought JIM CROW laws to the federal level, it was the modern democrat party that admired the fascism taking place in Italy and Germany....and gave Hitler advise on how to take care of certain minority groups standing in the way of a powerful center government (it was the blacks for the democrats and the JEWS for the Nazis). History Actual: The democrat party was the party of SLAVERY with not one republican actually owning a slave.....it was the democrat party that brought the US the KKK, JIM CROW, while fighting against female rights of voting and property ownership, civil rights reform.....and brought the USA the NEW 'communist' deal via bypassing congress and loading up SCOTUS with like minded judges.....some of which were actually practicing democrats and KKK CLAN members.

The government would very much like to disarm America and cancel the bill of rights, but they know that there will be an ugly reckoning with a well regulated militia.
