Well, I never ‘hated’ Obama like many lefties actually, literally, hate Trump.
There was much to not like about Obama’s presidency [like why did the racial unrest magically disappear when he left office?] but it wasn’t sufficient motivation for me to show up at the polls to support Romney.

I find daily & on almost any issue ppl have these strong emotions on issues that if the party positions are reversed so does the pout rage......
