Though he had a fascination for guns, Betts also was a fan of gun control and blamed Republicans for school shootings.
“This is America: Guns on every corner, guns in every house, no freedom but that to kill,” he wrote in December, and on the day of the Parkland, Florida, school shooting, he tweeted at Sen. Rob Portman: “hey rob. How much did they pay you to look the other way? 17 kids are dead. If not now, when?”
In reference to the 2017 Las Vegas shooting, he wrote “you can’t kill 50+ people and injure 600(!) In 10 minutes with cigarettes my dude.”
Politically, Betts was on the far left. His pinned Top Tweet was a retweet of someone else’s claim that “Millennials have a message for the Joe Biden generation: hurry up and die.”
When another Twitter user posted a picture of Ms. Warren and 2020 Democratic presidential rival Kamala Harris and asked “co-Presidents?” Bettspoured scorn.
“Nahh, but only cuz Harris is a cop - Warren I’d happily vote for,” he replied.

OK, simmer down. I took you off the ban list on the recipe discussion because I thought you could be more tactful. Right now you're being cruel. Do you not know what a false flag is? This was no false flag, the motives of these shooters have been front and center. They have been a billboard unto themselves. All sides of this coin are committing vile acts and we all are to blame. The way you were talking was just like those nuts that claim many of these shootings are fake.
The people that do this are off their rocker for various reasons. I heard the Dayton shooter was bullied, and the El Paso guy acted like a white nationalist martyr. Trump was the start of the rise of the fringe in this nation and it's going to get worse.
I know a lot of these mental issues because I have dealt with a lot of them myself. The real issue at hand is over access to excessive arms and mental health. If the right wants to get off one they better start improving on the other. So far mental healthcare has gotten far worse under Republicans.
In the end it's like I said. These details don't matter and the others pointing at the right when this happens are just as bad.

Nor have I ever been insulting on a non-political thread to anyone. Maybe you should think for yourself and make your own judgments of people instead letting others dictate your opinions. There are no "excessive" arms -- we have the 2nd amendment which cannot be easily overturned, the false flag ops notwithstanding. Trump was not the start of anything. Obama was divisive and hateful and ripped the nation in two.
There is no way to predict who will commit a mass shooting -- none. Mental health is worse under Trump because the left wing extremists are completely deranged over the man, and this is the result.
