Fully automatic weapons are not sold and have been illegal, always.

Please stop buying into the lies and hoaxes from the lunatic fringe. AK47s are not assault rifles, are not fully automatic and AR does not stand for assault rifle, it stands for Armalite, a manufacterer. The only way you will take guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens is by changing the 2nd Amendment.

Guns are for self defense, not murder. However, freedom isn't pretty. I'm not willing to be a sitting duck for the government and give my up 2nd Amendment rights over occasional shootings. Nope. Don't be so gullible and foolish. Despots always disarm the populace. Read history, and learn.....

I disagree. I blame liberalism in the schools not teaching kids life isn't always fair which doesn't prepare them for failures. Couple that with violent video games and you have a recipe for disaster. That is an over simplification of the causes but it's fairly accurate. And no, gun availability is not a cause nor answer.

Sounds like you need to take your own advice. You're alreading parroting the idea of taking guns away. Taking guns off the market is not taking them from you. These are called assault weapons because of the array of damage done. These guns were already banned once making the NRA delusions all the more obvious. They didn't change the second amendment to do that but rightists and the NRA are changing it to meet their desires. Even if these people were armed themselves it wouldn't have stopped this. These types of weapons are made for war and so is the body armor. What's the NRA's solution? Is it till everyone is carrying around a big assault rifle?

Don't try to explain reality to an antigun nut. AK47's and AR 15's look like real assault weapons therefore they are just as deadly and must be banned.
We should only be allowed to own single shot rifles and hand guns, but only with a 10 year waiting period after purchase that is the antigun stance.

AK47s do the same amount of damage ---wait for it--- as a semi-automatic handgun.

AK47s are not fully automatic weapons used by the military, those have always been illegal. Quit falling for the propaganda. Take my own advice? I don't want to change the 2nd Amendment and oppose anyone who does.
