In an interview with "Fox News Sunday," the White House economics adviser Larry Kudlow said that US consumers would pay for the new tariff hikes on Chinese goods.Fox News Sunday
President Donald Trump's top economics adviser, Larry Kudlow, said on Sunday that "both sides will suffer" in the escalating trade war between the US and China.

The remarks contradict Trump's claim that China will foot the bill for increased tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods imposed by the US on Friday.

In a report last week, the consultancy firm Trade Partnership found that US consumers would be forced to spend up to $800 more a year on average for essential items as a result of the escalating trade war between Washington and Beijing.

You should be happy. Why are liberals so concerned when rich people get hit? Don't you hate those rich fat cats on Wall Street? I would think that when the market climbs, that's when snowflakes that have severe TDS would be crying.

This is the kind of flip flop that proves the republican voter has no idea how an economy operates



they will just blindly back whatever the fox "news" party tells them to back

we should only trade with partners who have similar freedoms and labor laws. we should be spreading freedom, instead of importing poverty.

There is a lot of truth to this statement. Countries like China are willing to exploit their environment and citizens labor to produce cheap goods. It is not a level playing field and probably never will be even if they remove trade barriers.

tariffs are a traditional tool of international trade. reps and dems have gone crazy with destructive idiot trade trade deals lately. trump is a much needed dose of sanity.

The Global Capitalists (along with their Shareholders) want to 'Make Money'. One Billion Chinese is a lot of Consumers to sell stuff to. We just need to make Rules (The WTO) that everyone abides with.
 
we need a trade agreement with each nation individually. all economies are different. of course multinationals want to just ride rough shod and not have to deal with that, but other people matter too. competent leaders need to protect their people from the ravages of internationalist fascism.
