The judge also granted a motion to seal the record in the case, Patricia Brown Holmes, Smollett’s lawyer, told reporters inside the Leighton Criminal Court Building in Chicago. She also said the actor voluntarily agreed to forfeit his $10,000 bond to the city of Chicago.

I haven't kept up with the case, but I know they claimed to be the perpetrators and claimed Smollett hired them to do it, using a check Smollett wrote to them as evidence.

Turns out, the check was written to them as part of their ongoing Physical Training contract they had with Smollett!

Turns out, they were not even the ones that attacked Smollett in the first place as they claimed.

The case is not closed, and they have yet to arrest the real attackers.

This shit is so weird, no one could even make this kind of stuff up!

I would like to say that the Police should be very careful about what they release to the public during investigations.

In this case, the Police department, during a press release, came out early to say that they were unable to find a video of the attack!

That opens it up for the possibility of someone to completely false claim they were the attackers- or any other kind of Fake News to be constructed around the case.

The Police did not have to tell the public DIDDLY DICK about the presence of a video or lack thereof!
