No deal is better than a bad deal; progress was made and talks will continue.
Major sticking point seemed to be sanctions; Kim wanted all lifted; plus there were some specifics regarding exact locations of de-nuking.

Talks between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un wrapped up significantly earlier than expected on Thursday, and the White House announced that no agreement had been reached between the leaders.

"No agreement was reached at this time, but their respective teams look forward to meeting in the future," White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement.

Still, Sanders described the meetings between Trump and Kim as "very good and constructive."

This is more than just a deal between the U.S. and NK. There are other nations with interests here to be taken into consideration. SK, China, Japan and others. Their rapport is still good and they'll meet again. Removing ALL sanctions for the de-nuking of only one site just won't cut it.

right. The international sanctions would basically collapse in the area of banking restrictions, etc.
 
The summit was a multi-million dollar FIZZER. Just like the Singapore summit was. The Singapore and Vietnamese governments are out of pocket by MILLIONS.

The summit finished early because trump had ANOTHER fucking tantrum.

Now he'll jump on Air Force One and rush back to the US ....TO PLAY GOLF!!!

pure fiction. you might as well be writing about a summit on Mars. It did not happen like this at all.
Trump extended talks ( the meeting talk time) not a "tantrum" but the deal was too much for too little
 
On the plus side, I think that Vietnamese barber made a killing in sales. I wonder how many Trump and Kim haircuts he actually performed?

LOL, probably the only net net to come out of this disaster. Trump blew it big time. Unless he has something up his sleeve, I don't see how Trump did America any good.

Kim wanted it all without giving it all.
No sanctions were lifted, and Kim did promise to continue not to missile test anymore.

what's that famous line? "It's a process " sometimes you advance and sometimes you stay still status quo.
but any diplomatic break though takes time -Gorbachev and Reagan for ex. keep talking until it does

Diplomacy is not a one off process. It is a gradual process that has already been successful. No test firing of rockets over Japan.

North Korea's ambassador to the UN has already asked for food assistance.

It will take time to make progress with Kim—and no further progress may be made at all. And if a breakthrough happens, it won’t be until Trump’s second term.

But what irritates the Lefties and Never Trumpers is progress has been made by The Bad Orange Man and it screws up their narrative.
