Nick Sandmann's Lawyer Files $250 MILLION Lawsuit Against the Washington Post

Anyone bother to read the lawsuit? The allegations in it are pretty ridiculous.

Defamation does not happen if someone is not named and if the article is accused of "giving the gist" of something that might be defamatory.
 
This is good. Bring a little heat on irresponsible reporting. Money talks. WaPo and other media outlets might at least now slow down and breathe a bit while waiting for more confirmation and verification for "stories" popping up in social media.
 
It's hard to win a lawsuit against a large media organization. They'll hide behind the first amendment ("first amendment for me, but not for thee" is their thinking). But, to combat the fake news of the hateful liberal media, it's going to take some punishing lawsuits. The first amendment doesn't protect malicious lies.

They characterized the events as the boy intimidating the man who walked up to them. Won't take much of a lawyer to prove this case. You're really stupid. People in your life should have told you so you could get the help you need. Your education is inferior.

I imagine Bezos is wealthy enough to keep this case in court for so many years, the kid's lawyers will drop it just so they don't risk going broke pushing it forward.
