He is a fine example of really fucking stupid, 40 years later.
I liked him in 'The Dead Pool' when he played a Director (and Jim Carrey played an Actor).

Look, Liam was in an interview and explaining how revenge and racist thoughts are wrong, dangerous, and can sometimes overcome people due to emotion- and he used his own personal life experience as an example.
He said, that he was wanting to harm a black man- after he learned a black man raped one of his relatives.
I think what he did was brave by confessing he- himself was once guilty of racism that he is very much against today!
Most people will walk away and say, OK, good example- you're forgiven!
But then you are going to have someone- milk this thing for political advantage- and try to ruin his career over something that no one would have never known had he not confessed to it.
He admitted his mistake and took responsibility for it! And I believe he is a better man for what he said!

I think there is a constructive conversation that could be had around it, but people are more interested in having their offense bell rang so he was stupid in that sense to say it.

I've never gotten angry at an entire race because someone of that race did something to me. I got angry at the fucking person that did the shit to me. People misdirect their anger all the time. His anger wasn't about politics. It was about someone raping his friend. He didn't jump anybody. He armed himself and put him in situations where he hoped someone would jump him so he would have legal cover to act out his anger in a violent manner.
